Ambetter/Silver Summit Health is THE worst insurance company I have ever had for coverage and have had to work with. Their customer service representatives are not informed, give boys responses, read of scripts ad nauseam, give contradictory (and typically incorrect) information, and don't call back if the signal to Manila is dropped, even though they ask you for your # in case of disconnection. Also, they have unqualified physicians assessing whether procedures should be approved or not. As my pain doctor said in disbelief and frustration, "What is a pediatrician doing assessing whether an MRI is needed for someone's cervical/back condition?!" The company also requires pre-authorization for almost everything--ever routine bloodwork! In short, as soon as the new enrollment period starts, I will surely be switching.

Run don't walk away from this so-called health insurance provider. They auto bill 2-3 months ahead of time, on irregular dates, it is impossible to speak to a native English speaker, I called and canceled the policy in June and they kept the payments for the additional 2 months even though no coverage was provided. This company is a SCAM. Avoid like the plague

A joke of a 'health insurance' plan, just like the potus who got it thru a stacked deck of a congress. Currently, I have to go out of my own County to find a MD who was not educated at Lebanon U or in some third world country, same for a pharmacy, only 1 in the whole County that accepts it! Congress should be made to use it as well.

I had a problem, I went to doctors and got every single thing they ask for, they had the doctor to keep resubmitting so many times, the doctor said it’s not worth there time. That I could get it approved myself. They sent me all information and I submitted it myself, and again they said the doctor has to resubmit it for approval. They ran everyone around until finally everyone had had enough, so for me it’s get a loan and get the procedure done myself. I wouldn’t recommend Ambetter for anyone. Kimey L Heard

Total crap. To never get an appointment with a primary care physician even with a on the telephone. More expensive than other insurances and really does absolutely nothing. The HMO has $100 deductible for a visit to specialist specialist. This insurance sucks run away.

Absolutely the WORST health insurance company on EARTH!!!!! I paid my premium in January only to be canceled for NON-PAYMENT AND the payment was made 12-29-2022 and posted 1-05-2023. I STILL have a credit of $313.77 but they say that I didn't make a payment...so how do I have a credit?...if no payment was made one would NOT have a credit! Now every time that I contact them a NON- ENGLISH as a 1st language Filipino who doesn't understand what's going on or how to ESCALATE the problem to be resolved. They're too busy trying to read from a script instead of listening to the customer and providing solutions.

Horrible experience with this insurance company. I have a really bad back. They are trying to require me to go to physical therapy BUT they know it just hurts me worse! My Dr ordered an MRI but they declined to allow it. I now live in constant pain. When I attend therapy I'm laid up in the bed for almost 7 days- just in time for another therapy appointment. I tried to call and ask if there's anything else I can do to "earn" the MRI that I need so bad- they tell me that can't tell me anything! (Their imaging department). My Dr even tried a peer to peer and it was still denied. HORRIBLE COMPANY! Maybe it's time to contact a lawyer!

I cancelled this insurance because it was extremely expensive about 3 months ago. They still keep trying to bill me under a different amount. This is a total scam. Next step will be to report them to the BBB.
