For 8 years Alpine Gold Exchange / UPMA has done exactly what they said they would. I have even tested, in person after a 500mi drive, that I could get my physical gold. AGE is reasonable and transparent about fees. They’ve even added to their offerings, making yield on gold (did you read that?) possible through partnership with a firm that does physical gold leases. Their staff are helpful and responsive, and little things get fixed instead of piling up, at least from this customer’s point of view. I’ve turned family and friends onto AGE/UPMA. Now, if you just want to speculate on gold/silver/goldbacks, AGE might not be for you; or metals at all. But these folks have truly helped make metals into money once again. If you have the right mindset that the metal is the money, you’re at home. No longer is it, “How many $FRNs do I need to buy gold?”, but rather “How much gold does it take to buy an $FRN?”
