I too had a humidifier go bad (E5 error message). After a somewhat prolonged process, I got a replacement unit shipped. It took more effort than I had thought but overall I was happy. After a couple of months - the replacement unit quit working. I've emailed 3 times with no response. I've tried calling multiple times but no one picks up. Quite frustrating.

Been trying to get help from tech…
Been trying to get help from tech support for a month so I can purchase the correct electronic part to repair my unit. I believe the warranty on the electronics is only 1 year . With more than 20 emails to tech support I have not been able to get an answer to a simple question. I'm wondering if they eve have tech support.

Absolutely waste of money
Absolutely waste of money. We bought the HDi65s for the WiFi connectivity and remote control via the app 2 years ago. The app has not worked since buying the dehumidifier. Alorair keeps telling me a new app will be available soon and give a date about 2 months into the future. When they fail to meet the date, they move it back another 2 months. This has been going on for 2 YEARS! I spoke with Reyn from alorair today who told me there is no release date for a new app, but she did thank me for my patience. ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS!!!

Waste of Money, Garbage App and Co.
The promise of an app-based dehumidifier sounds great, until you try using an Alorair. I did get mine to work via the app sometimes. But it never lasted long and Alorair even admitted they were dropping support for models a few years old a while back, so the remote feature was dead. And the app itself was awful. Terrible design, sketchy operation you could not trust, all bad. It was obviously coded in China given the random Chinese characters that would pop up. Ok top of that, the units themselves are all Chinese made and the quality control is abysmal. I could tell the refrigerant leaked out in less than a year. I’ve had DH units from big box stores last MUCH longer. Alorair products are garbage, avoid them.

Horrible dehumidifiers. Even worse customer service
Bought a 800$ dehumidifier directly from the company. Spent an hour or two running the line for the drain, and setting up the unit. I started to run it, and within 5 minutes it shut off and gave me an E4 error code.
I called customer service, and immediately they knew that the pump was bad. Instead of trying to rectify the situation, they asked if I was comfortable replacing the pump myself. Luckily, I am handy with a lot of tools at my disposal, so I told them I was comfortable. They said they were going to ship me a new pump, and will send a tracking number. 3 days went by, still no tracking number.
I began running the pump with the drain line open, so the pump wasn’t needed. Put a bucket underneath, and let it run. The next morning, there was a big puddle of water throughout my basement. Watched it for a few minutes, and there was water leaking out from the shell of the unit. The water wasn’t even getting to the reservoir. I removed the shell, and saw an immense amount of condensation in the unit, to the point that the screws holding the shell were starting to rust. This was supposed to be a brand new unit.
Called customer service back, they tried to convince me to change the pump and “that should fix it”. However, after sending pictures, they sent an email saying they couldn’t figure out the cause of the leak and would replace the unit. Said they were going to send me a return label, 4 days later and I still do not have a return label.
I have just finished disputing the charge on my card, and I guess I will have to wait for the return label so that I can send it back.
Long story short, they sent me a broken unit, tried to get me to fix it myself, and when I asked for a replacement, they have failed to send me a return label. They have since stopped returning my emails, which is why I had to dispute it with my credit card company. AVOID BUYING ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY

I purchased an AlorAir Sentinel HD55s
I purchased an AlorAir Sentinel HD55s, which has WiFi capabilities. The dehumidifier is working fine, but even after successfully connecting the app and dehumidifier, the app does not work. I see many people have this same complaint. I have reached out to support numerous times over the past several months and they have only responded back once after a month or so. They asked for some additional information, which I provided promptly, and have never heard back. You cannot reach a live person and they do not respond to emails. Assume that if you are buying this product that you will have 0 support should you need it.

Utter Garbage
I bought one of these for my garage figuring an industrial dehumidifier would be better. It’s not. Died after 6 months. Alorair sent a new one to me if I just paid shipping….to the tune of $350. That one failed in 4 months. After that I bought some cheap thing off Amazon that has been running for 4 years. Save your money - these things are utter garbage.

2 failed units in 4 years & refusing warranty
1st unit failed after 2 years + 10 months (5-year "warranty!") but manufacturer demanded that I pay $150 shipping to return the defective unit. Replacement unit failed after 1 year + 6 months and AGAIN the manufacturer demands that I pay ~$150 shipping to get warranty service. Absolute JUNK!!
