Lies on top of Lies
I used to think very highly of this company. So highly, I had contracts with them for both my home and my business. Then, in a time of crisis when the ac handler broke at my office, they sent Derek to assess. I was told it needed to be replaced. I explained to Derek that I am not the owner of the building and wasn't sure if could sign. He informed me that it was fine and I was most likely going to have to pay for it either way and since it was Friday, if I wanted the work to start on Monday and all sorts of other high pressure, I begrudgingly signed under the promise that I could cancel if i found out from the owner that it needed to be done differently. I was assured that was not an issue since they are a Family Owned and Operated Company and all. Well three hours later, I called to cancel because the building owner wanted to take over the project. After listening to Derek yell about landlords messing things up, he agreed it was out of my hands and told me it would be canceled and refunded on Monday. I called the next day to confirm that the work and the contract was canceled and was again told by the woman who answered the phone that it was and would be rectified on Monday. Well, here we are a week later with a 4000 charge still sitting on my Amex and so I call and the woman now said that the person who does refunds isn't in and that I'm only getting 3500 back for a canceled contract. They are attempting to now keep 500 after being told, and told again, and reassured and promised that it was not a problem to cancel. I am so absolutely tired of being lied to. Are there any companies or humans left in the world who don't lie, cheat, or steal as a business model? This entire process was so disappointing. It's not right. They should have kept their word particularly when invoking the family owned and operated motto. It's just a bad look all the way around.
