This company is a scam. James Wilson quoted me $275 to transport my vehicle on 7/24. I confirmed several times this was the total and there would be no additional charges. James said: "Thank you for taking the time to request a quote for your vehicle's transportation. The total cost to ship your vehicle is $275, which covers everything." I agreed and signed a contract for the $275, with a $100 deposit. James said there were no issues and my vehicle would be picked up on July 27. On July 26, James emailed: "I hope you're doing well. Since you booked your shipment with our company, I began working on your order immediately. I have been contacting multiple carriers—more than 26 drivers so far—but most have been hesitant to accept this shipment because of the specific challenges associated with this route. The main challenge is the delivery location in Moseley, VA, which is outside the major Richmond freight corridors. While Buffalo is a strong pickup market, carriers generally prefer routes with more direct return opportunities, making this shipment more difficult to cover at a lower rate. I have now found a driver willing to take the shipment at $2 per mile. Considering the driver's fuel, tolls, operating expenses, return-trip considerations, and the possibility of not having a guaranteed backhaul, this is a reasonable opportunity for this route and a rate the driver is willing to accept." I told James this was unacceptable as I was not outside the "Richmond freight corridor" as Moseley is a suburb just south of Richmond. Further, I stated if this was truly an issue I would pick the vehicle up at a location of his choice in Richmond for the quoted price. On July 26, James responded: "With due respect, sir, I want to be completely transparent with you. I could have arranged the pickup first and then surprised you at delivery with a $1,000 charge, but that is not how I conduct business. I am informing you of the actual carrier rate before pickup so you have complete clarity and there are no surprises later. I have explained the situation and the reasons behind the updated price upfront. The initial quote was an estimate based on the information and market conditions available at the time, while the final transportation rate is determined by the carrier based on current demand, availability, and operating costs. I understand that you are comparing other options, and I respect that. However, in this industry, any company providing an initial quote may still need to confirm the final carrier rate based on the actual market. My priority is to be transparent with you and provide the final price before your vehicle is picked up—not after delivery. I sincerely ask you to consider the available driver and give me your approval so I can assign the carrier and send you the driver's complete details. My goal is to make sure everything is clear and agreed upon before the vehicle is picked up." His new price was now $1400 (5.1x the original quote). Thus, I canceled and told him I wanted my $100 deposit back. James replied: "With due respect, I would not recommend canceling the shipment because the cancellation terms outlined in the agreement may apply. According to the signed agreement, a $200 cancellation fee may be charged, and the reservation fee may be non-refundable. For this reason, I sincerely recommend proceeding with the available driver, as it may be the more cost-effective option. However, if you still prefer to cancel the shipment, I can process the cancellation according to the terms of the agreement. Please let me know how you would like to proceed. If you choose to cancel, would you prefer to pay the cancellation fee by debit card or credit card, or would you like me to send you an invoice by email?" The contract that you sign says if a driver is dispatched you may owe a cancellation fee and may forfeit your deposit. However, in his own email James stated the driver had not been assigned nor dispatched yet. Note he used high pressure sales tactics to try and get me to still book, such as saying that my paying 5.1x the original quote (a 409% increase) was "the more cost-effective option". Later he tried to "help [me] out" by "paying some of the quote with [his] own money" and lowering the rate to $800 plus my original deposit. Please note their BBB accreditation is revoked and they have an F rating as of 9/2026. They have a 1.8 rating on Yelp, a 1/10 on Carshipio, and 1 star on Facebook. Lastly, you will see they respond to the plethora of negative reviews that " the quoted price is identified as an estimated quote" and "not a guaranteed rate". Yet, as you can see nowhere do they tell you this until after they try to bait and switch, because that is their business model. It is not a bug, it is their primary feature - caveat emptor.

Extremely disappointing experience — refund promised, then denied I would strongly caution anyone considering using Allstate CarShip. My experience started when I paid a $150 deposit to have my vehicle transported. The service and pricing I was originally quoted were not ultimately honored, and after trying to resolve the situation directly with the company, Allstate CarShip agreed to refund my $150 deposit. Despite agreeing to the refund, the company failed to actually follow through and return my money. I repeatedly followed up and was told the refund was being processed. I gave them more than enough opportunity to resolve the issue voluntarily. Because the refund still never came, I eventually disputed the charge with my bank. What is especially concerning is what happened afterward. Once the bank became involved, Allstate CarShip disputed my claim and took a position that contradicted what they had previously told me directly — essentially denying that I was entitled to the refund they had already agreed to provide. Even more frustrating, on July 10, after I had already disputed the charge with my bank and informed them that I was escalating the matter to the BBB, someone from Allstate CarShip contacted me by phone and told me that my refund would be issued. I was specifically told that I would receive the refund within approximately 10–15 minutes. That refund never arrived. At that point, this stopped being simply a customer-service issue. I had written communications documenting their agreement to refund my money, follow-up communications saying the refund was being processed, and then a completely different position presented when my bank became involved. I find this extremely troubling and misleading. If a company agrees that a customer is owed a refund, it should honor that agreement rather than delay the refund and then deny responsibility once the customer seeks help from their financial institution. I have retained documentation of the transaction, communications regarding the refund, and the subsequent dispute with my bank. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Allstate CarShip. My biggest issue isn’t simply the $150 — it’s the way the situation was handled and the fact that I was repeatedly told my money would be returned, only for the company to later deny that obligation. Pros: None based on my experience. Cons: Unreliable communication, failure to honor a promised refund, repeated delays, and inconsistent representations regarding the refund.

All state car ship is filled with bunch of liars and time wasters. I love people who are truthful and straightforward but these guys are far from it. I paid a. Deposit for them to come and ship my car. We all agreed on a specific day which was on a Sunday, they just kept giving me excuses till they ended up not picking my car up. Just avoid this shipping company.

Load ID 24770664 Agent number : 872-278-1267 This complaint is directed at the complete failure and unprofessional conduct of your transport brokerage service, which demonstrated a blatant disregard for customer instructions, basic business ethics, and contractual responsibility. From the outset, your company failed to follow clearly stated customer requirements regarding the load. Despite multiple confirmations, the agreed terms were ignored without explanation. To make matters worse, the price was arbitrarily increased after initial agreement, putting the customer in an unfair and unacceptable position. Most concerning is the fact that, despite charging the full agreed amount, your company never secured a driver for the load. There was no transparency, no proactive communication, and no accountability. The customer was left waiting without updates while your team failed to deliver the most basic service you were contracted to provide. Repeated requests were made to remove the load from the load board after it became clear that your company could not fulfill the job. These requests were ignored multiple times, demonstrating either negligence or a deliberate lack of respect for the customer’s time and operational needs. Communication throughout this process was unacceptable. The main representative handling the case was consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Instead of assisting, he created further frustration with his tone and unwillingness to address concerns. Additionally, the assigned broker showed zero responsibility — despite numerous calls from the customer, he failed to respond appropriately or take ownership of the situation. Finally, even after failing to provide the agreed service, your company refused to issue a refund. Charging a customer in full while delivering nothing is not just poor service — it raises serious concerns about the integrity of your business practices. This experience reflects a deeply flawed operation marked by incompetence, poor communication, and disregard for customers. Immediate review and corrective action are strongly warranted, as this level of service severely damages trust and undermines your company’s credibility.

🚨 WORST EXPERIENCE — RUN, DON’T WALK 🚨 Just like Roland, Bat Crypto, and many others here—I got burned. I was quoted a firm price — “TOTAL, absolutely no other fees.” I was also told pickup would happen within 3 days max. Fast forward to Day 9 — no calls, no texts, no emails returned. Nothing. At that point, I sent a text, email, and voicemail canceling the order for lack of performance and hired another company. Well… wouldn’t you know it — ALL STATE CAR SHIP suddenly had my vehicle picked up the very next morning. Then I get a message: “Your car is on the way — have the balance ready in cash or certified funds: $1,200.” Excuse me… what? That’s $1,000 MORE than the agreed price. I have multiple texts and emails clearly stating $350 total. I immediately called — no answer. Texted — dozens of times. Emailed — same story. After about 30 minutes of calling every number I could find, I finally reached someone named “Anige”… who turned out to be Jasmin James, the same person I dealt with before. Her response (along with “Boss Jeff”)? “Too bad. You signed a contract. It says it’s just an estimate.” Buried in the fine print. Meanwhile, the driver (who was actually a good guy) called me about an hour after pickup. I told him to stop — I wasn’t paying that. He was just as confused as I was when I showed him the messages with the original price. In the end, needing my car and not wanting to stiff the driver, we negotiated $700 cash — still more than double what I was quoted, but at that point it was about damage control. He delivered the car the next morning, on time, and was genuinely professional. The broker? Total scam operation. And just to add insult to injury: When I canceled the second company I hired, they charged a $200 cancellation fee. I disputed and charged everything back — deposit and cancellation fee. I was originally willing to eat the deposit… not after this mess. Bottom line: I moved too fast and didn’t vet the company or the industry. That’s on me. Don’t make the same mistake. If you’re shipping a car, consider using Shiply — you deal directly with the driver, not a shady middleman broker. It may cost a little more upfront, but you’ll save yourself a massive headache.

I would give zero stars if I could. I booked with this company and gave 100.00 deposit. They didn't pick up the car and didn't call me I called them. They said oh the driver tire had a blow out he's at the shop we sending another driver. Well that didn't happen so I called again and they said that driver have pickups by me in the morning and will pick my car up then. Well that didn't happen either. I called and asked why my original driver didn't get my car after tire blow out was fixed. It was one thing after another. They are liars and scammers. I talked to Marry J. She should be ashamed of herself scamming people. I asked for my money back and they never issued a refund. I have enough expenses going on with relocating and marry took advantage of my need to have vehicle shipped. Don't trust this company. They are taking deposits then never answering calls or responding to text messages once you realize it was all a scam. They are not Registered with BBB either. Avod this company!! I will continue to spread the word on all social media platforms they are thieves!!
