WARNING ! - it is easy for this product to damage your vehicle I attached the upper hook to the metal top of the rear hatch as directed, this can only be done with the door open (up). I wanted to make sure that everything was aligned correctly so I closed the door with the hook correctly seated. The door closed and broke a large chunk out of the top fairing (an expensive part on my Volvo XC90). At this stage, I removed the device and requested a refund as it was clear that the side hooks would have caused damage to the rear glass which is overlaid on the metal door frame. NOTICE - neither the manufacturer nor Amazon would take responsibility for the damage to my new vehicle. They rely on the "small print" to excuse themselves from liability. Buyer beware!
