Somewhat helpful experience identifying the part I needed. Shipping occured quickly and as expected. However, the part I ordered arrived with a broken piece and they have refused to replace/refund the purchase stating "We have not seen one like that, all of our locks in the warehouse are in perfect condition as far as the screw hole goes. Unfortunately, this means I am unable to send you another one. I can offer you a discount on a new order."
Total garbage response for an expensive, niche part. I was not looking for a refund just a part that I could use to fix my door.
I DO NOT recommend their service as they do not stand behind their products and shipping/delivery.

Buyer Beware – Terrible Customer Service and Unfair Restocking Fees
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with AllAboutDoors.com was so frustrating that I feel obligated to warn others.
Before placing my order, I called their customer service department and provided the exact dimensions of my door hardware along with multiple photographs. Based on the information I supplied, their representative confidently told me which replacement lock mechanism I needed.
When the part arrived, it appeared to be a repackaged return from another customer rather than a new item. More importantly, although it looked similar, it was the wrong mechanism for my door.
I requested and received an approved Return Authorization (RA) and returned the item. At no point during that process was I informed that I would be charged a restocking fee. After they received the return, I was shocked to find they deducted $146.56 as a restocking fee for a part that I purchased solely because of their recommendation.
I then sent additional photos and information asking them to identify the correct replacement part and help resolve the issue. Those emails have gone unanswered.
Their phone support has been equally disappointing. I have called 816-221-6543, selected customer service, and repeatedly sat on hold for over an hour listening to hold music without ever reaching a representative. Multiple follow-up emails have also gone unanswered.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend doing business with this company. If you rely on their expertise to identify the correct replacement part, be aware that you may still end up with the wrong item and face significant fees trying to return it. I expected professional guidance and responsive customer service, but unfortunately received neither.

I ordered some rollers for a patio door, they came today. They were an exact match, very high quality. Easy to install, I like this company.

i dont typically write reviews good or bad unless something stands out. To me this stands out in a
negative way.
i spent a lot of time looking for a part for my storm door, and finally found it on there web site. It was shipped as they said the price was fair. But shipping was almost as much, but the problem was that it broke the same day that I installed it.after calling them i was told to go to their website. I read the procedure on returns and basically meant had to ship it back. More shipping costs both ways return and replacement. After speaking to him it sounded like a simple process and he was dismissive and basically confirmed that.................

Let the Buyer Beware
All About Doors review
After talking to customer service to determine the appropropriate part to fix the broken locking mechanism on our french doors, we were surprised to find that the part we were sent at the cost of nearly $400 dollars was the wrong part.
Of course I read the return policy which said the company "reserved the right" to charge a 25% restocking fee, especially if the part was custom or damaged in any way.
That makes sense. "Reserve the right" covers the company from fraud or losing money. It does NOT mean "in all cases, we will charge this fee." If that is the case with no mitigating circumstances, it should say so.
I have received full refunds before from other companies who also "reserved the right" to charge restocking fees, but who waived the fees considering the timeliness and condition of the returned items.
I sent the wrong part back at the cost of $20--pristine and repacked better than it was sent.Since it wasn't a custom part and there were zero problems with it, I assumed that they would refund my money, especially since we had to buy another part to fix the door.
Nope. We were charged nearly $100 for them to open the package and put the part back on the shelf.
Do not expect that this company will always send the right part and be prepared to be gouged when you have to return anything, even if they are the ones who did not send the correct part in the first place.
Sadly, I see this is a pattern from reading other reviews about this company.
Let the buyer beware.

SCAM
I believe the company is trying to run small scale scams on unexpecting consumers. Haven't received product, and they wont refund it either. They say Marvin hasn't reached out to them, but I was able to easily get a quote for my parts from Marvin before this company was ?? yeah that makes zero sense.

Stay away from allabout doors
I called them for a replacement part for my French doors. It needs a new locking mechanism and I was told that the brand and model i have is no longer made and I had to switch to a different manufacturer. The woman I talked with claims 13 years experience and is an " expert" in multi point locking mechanisms, what i got showed me anything but that. An expert in sending out the what item. Not only did the top and bottom latch not line up correctly, the top latch was 10 to 12 inches lower than the original, but the whole set was a good 6 inches longer than the door. Then she went to accuse me of measuring the door wrong and all the other measurements as well. I build houses for several years and have worked various job thru my life time where measuring things was the main part of the job. I know how to measure plus I measured everything not once not twice but three times to confirm that I was giving them the most accurate measurement possible. I am still fighting but now they know my phone number and recognize my number and refuse to answer the phone. She knows she screwed up and refuses to make thing right I highly recommend everyone find another company to do business with and DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ALL ABOUT DOORS. They don't know all about doors but know all about how to send you the wrong part then rip you off. I am now looking at hiring a lawyer and take them to court to get my 350 bucks back in full plus lawyer fees and court cost and then some for this aggrevation.

Purchased Recommended product, wrong product, charged shipping and 25% restocking fee to return.
I contacted Customer service to try and find a part for my Milgard Sliding Door handle that needed to be replaced. They first recommended a part that was not the correct part, so I sent additional images, they then recommended another part. I purchased that part based on the representatives recommendation. I paid for faster shipping. It was supposed to arrive on Thursday, it did not arrive until Saturday. When I received the handle, it was the wrong item. I contacted All About Doors & Windows to return the item, they refused to waive the 25% Restocking fee, although it was their representative that recommended the wrong part. They said the only reason he recommended the wrong part, was because I asked in a previous email if that was the part. So, not only do I pay for shipping both ways, but I also have to pay a 25% restocking fee for a product that was wrongly recommended by their representative. The product was great, but there was nothing else about this company I could recommend.
