I have worked with Aligned on various projects for more than a year and have had a really positive experience. Tyler and Miya have both been consistently responsive and helpful throughout the projects. They have regular office hours and a message board that is actively monitored for support, which makes a big difference when you are working independently. What I particularly like about this team is that the work is not micromanaged. As long as you are meeting the project guidelines and expectations, you are trusted to manage your own time and approach the work in a way that works for you. I know of other platforms where there is much more monitoring, including time tracking software, so I really value that Aligned has chosen to give experts this level of autonomy and trust. The pay is also competitive compared with other expert platforms I have come across, which makes the projects even more worthwhile. Overall, it has been a genuinely positive experience, and I would recommend Aligned to other professionals who value intellectually challenging projects, flexibility, competitive pay, and being treated as an expert rather than being micromanaged.

I worked with the company for around 100 days on a demanding consulting project and was consistently impressed by the quality and professionalism of the team. Communication could sometimes be sparse, but in hindsight this seemed partly intentional: the work rewarded collaborators who were proactive, adaptable and comfortable using their own judgement. It was an unusual but genuinely rewarding experience, I would be very happy to work with them again.

Aligned was a fun thing to do. It was really tough at the beginning as the learning curve is steep. You also have to argue with the reviewers but remember, their arguments are to do with the way in which the question and justification are written, not the science. You are still the expert. I found it a great way to read papers in my field and come up with ideas for questions as I went. So, for me, it was great. Just wish it could have lasted longer.

The campaign itself was very interesting and it allowed me to work with an amazing and talented group of people from all over the world. Salaries were very fair and the payout process was smooth and quick. I would happily work for Aligned again if the opportunity arises and I wouldn't doubt to recommend it to anyone.
