Swapped the brand new pair I sent with a used, dirty and beaten one
I have around 1500 sales (at least) across various selling platforms, and I have never experienced anything even remotely similar to what happened with Alias. I shipped a pair of deadstock Air Max 95 Bright Mandarin in a US 11. Once they arrived, I was told that the pair I had shipped was used and it’s a US 10.5. So I asked for pictures, because there was absolutely no way those could be the same shoes I had shipped. I was sent pictures of a pair of Air Max 95 Bright Mandarin that were extremely worn and visibly looked like they had just been taken off someone’s feet. What I can only presume happened is that someone swapped the US 10.5 they were wearing for the deadstock US 11 they found inside the box, and went home with a brand-new pair of the exact same model they had been wearing. I therefore asked Alias for an explanation as to how something like this could possibly happen, and why on earth I would have shipped a filthy, used pair of shoes in the wrong size, hoping that the sale would somehow miraculously go through. Their response was simply: “We are unable to provide internal CCTV footage or proprietary verification documentation used during the review process. We truly appreciate your patience and the time you've taken to explain your concerns. We understand how disappointing this situation has been and apologize that we are unable to provide a different resolution.” I immediately removed all of my listings from their platform. Thanks to someone, over a $200 pair of shoes, they have lost a seller with a big amount of stock because the only thing they can do in these cases is: nothing. Truly smart business decision. Never again.
