AlabamapowerReviews of alabamapower.com

These people care nothing about their customers, nor the necessities like food going to waste. They went and got the upper class side of town running but the middle and lower cant even get an eta? There isnt a truck on the road. Only update I saw was "Under Review" for the past 14 hours. I believe it's their personal family member areas that they cater to first. I want what I pay for nothing less. And that is to have power!

I hesitate to give even I star. Their billing department is a complete mess. They bumped me out of bill pay without explanation, sent mail to the wrong address, attempted to shut off power, had me rush payment to stop this, then said they gave me the wrong amount, I went back to pay the right amount which the acknowledged, then a week later threatened another shut off for non-payment. When I provided a receipt they realized they had failed process the payment to the shut off department. On two occasions I spent over 4 hours on the phone with them. This is as bad as customer service gets!

If I could give them zero stars I would. I have called them over 30 times the past few weeks. We had a new home brought in and have waited weeks for power. Every single time I called I was told “oh it’ll be tomorrow, oh the next day, well it’s marked as pending” FINALLY was told there’s a hold on my account for “no pole” when I’ve had a pole the ENTIRE time. Old pole was rotted, it was pulled up and a new one put in its place. SAME DAY. There has been a pole there for weeks and they have known this. Then it takes “3-5 days to order a meter” EXCUSE ME? I’ve been living in a camper with a 2 year old for a MONTH for something that was their fault, and now I’ve got to wait another week? I would almost buy a house somewhere else to be able to have a different provider. Alabama Power is AWFUL.

In/near July 2nd supposedly agent told me (that's what today's she agent told me she documented) there's no cost to setup, it's just a transfer of service, so no fee to do that, well there IS one, $40. And then the agent said something not related to ALABAMA - "with Georgia Power you were also told there's a$40 setup fee" - haven't lived there in 15+ years...So, being sly and clever in conversation is NOT good customer service. Alabama is suspect and they are on schedule to raise rates in 2027🤔.

Alabama Power is the absolute worst power company in the entire world. Third world countries don't have as many outages.. With such high charges, surely those morons can afford to update the infrastructure or give every single customer a free generator. So frustrating to be held hostage by morons.

The worst company in the world they lie they steal they overcharge they turn your power off even if you paid your bill they'll make up some excuse why it went off they continuously charge you they turn power off on people that are disabled people that can't afford anything and they try to do the best they can they have the women in Anniston their office are the most ignorant and rudest girls in the world they don't care about nothing but themselves they don't care about if your meters are not working correctly they won't check them they act like you're nobody it's very disappointing if I can have another place to go to I would I just paid them with $3,000 in 2 months for a three bedroom brand new trailer which is outrageous and insane I wish somebody could do something and I think I might Sue Alabama Power for what they did to my daughter but there's got to be something that has to be done with them they are the worst company in the world

Alabama power is the most corrupt company on earth. I dont know who or how much they paid to get an article out saying they are one of the most trustworthy companies because that is a load of lies. My power bill is past double my car payment at a whopping $920 a month FOR A 3 BEDROOM MOBILE HOME and yes we've had them come out and check for problems. They are money hungry awful people. I hate them and hope both sides of their pillows are always warm. One day I hope they have to deal with what we have to deal with. If it goes up anymore we can't pay it and then we can't have power. I hope bad things happen to everyone in that horrid company.

Absolute corrupt scam company. My family and conserve power and we're always gone but we always have $500 billion now its up to $700.
