After studying for QBO level 1 pro advisor for several weeks and passing each test the first time on my own, I realized I didn't want to pursue level 2 without guidance and support. Wow, did the Akadian course not disappoint! It is structured and taught just the way I think and highlighted exactly the information I needed to obtain the Level 2 certification in a fraction of the time it took me to complete level 1. Now, on to the cleanup course!

I've just completed my QBO Level 1 Certification and excited about getting started with Level 2. I highly recommend these courses for anyone wanting to get QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certified.

I am a hands on learner for sure, so having the activities to do absolutely helped me learn what I hadn't already done in QBO. The only thing I noticed is that it took me way longer than 5 hours to complete the course and test. I am not sure how anyone can do it all in 5 hours, but it took me more like 17 hours and I have previous experience in QBO and I'm educated. Anyway, I was happy to pass and get certified! Thank you, Jesus! This course was a blessing to me!

I was hesitant to enroll into the QBO Level 1 because I do not do well with test and I live on a very limited income. But I had to take the dive and I am so glad I did! This course not only gave me a more in depth look into the bookkeeping online world, it helped build my confidence. Every section is well presented with subjects that are actually on the test. I was able to pass each section of the Quickbooks Online Cerification-Level One with 80% or higher marks.

I am beyond thrilled to have found Akadian. Margie and her team have created a beautifully designed platform with bite-sized lessons. They are the third team I’ve worked with on accounting skills. First, I started with online courses through my community college and the program they recommend. It was good, I learned a lot of very surface level basic accounting skills. But doing them didn’t leave me with anyone to help me practice my skills and feel confident, so I went looking online for accounting/bookkeeping practice. I found a program that sounded excellent, but in practice, left me feeling like it wasn’t really focused on training me as a bookkeeper. It was more about marketing myself as a bookkeeper. It was also a lot of money…and if you didn’t pay those premium one-time costs, you didn’t get lifetime access. I couldn’t pay the huge hunk of money upfront, so as soon as I stopped paying, lost all access to the program. Then I clicked an Akadian ad on Facebook, expecting more of the same. Promises to teach me what I needed to know, but either being painfully expensive, or falling short on actually teaching me bookkeeping skills. I watched a few free Akadian videos on YouTube, and chatted a little with support about their programming. Skeptical, I signed up for their free 5-day preview of QBO Gym, and joined the associated Facebook group. I really love the set-up for the lessons in the Gym. You start by reading and watching a short animated video about the bookkeeping need. Then, you click into the written tutorial with step-by-step instructions on how to do what is necessary. They’re even working on updating everything to fit with QBOs new look once QBOs sample company is updated. My online class has lessons from 2022 (with written updates that are mostly anccurate) and the first program was around 2023. If you know Intuit, you know they frequently change things. Staying current with the Intuit look and abilities is incredibly important. It’s easy to get confused, especially when you’re starting out. After my 5-day freebie, I was offered a discount to join the first “year” of the Gym, but it was hard to justify on my budget…so I lingered in the group, and started trying other freebies they offer. About a month after, I decided I needed to pull the plug on the other program I was using. It wasn’t helping me how I needed it. This would help me with my financial situation. I also decided to put my part-time income towards classes. Akadian had announced a discount on one of their courses I knew I wanted to take. So I pulled out my biz cc with a plan and signed up. Once in, I knew this course was way over my head. I kept plugging away. But decided I needed to learn more basic things. I liked the format of the more advanced class-even tho it wasn’t a little animated video…it was one of Margie’s team explaining and walking through workflow for Clean-Ups. Corry is fantastic. The lack of skill/knowledge is on me. The fantastic thing is, I can put this course on hold while I work on more basic skills and come back to it bc Akadian offers LIFETIME ACCESS to all the things you spend your hard-earned dollars on, no matter how you pay! Beats the heck out of paying monthly and losing access when you stop paying for it, like services….this is a product with attached services (support/platform). And you get it for the long haul. I did finally sign up for Bookkeeping Fast Track. I already have my ProAdvisor certifications (L1, L2, and Payroll) before I found Akadian, but it really didn’t make me confident going through Intuit’s trainings. Their trainings are meant to show you how to use QBO, and not necessarily why you’re going what you’re doing. Margie teaches this one. And she’s a fantastic teacher. Her presentation of knowledge and skills is thorough and easy to understand. Some of it I know already, but in every lesson, I am either shoring up my knowledge or learning something new. My next goal is to save enough money to sign up for QBO Gym to really nail down the foundational knowledge I need to be the best bookkeeper in my town. My favorite part of it all is that there are plans for more instruction. This learning program will always be one step ahead of me and I’ll always find something new to learn about. As a lifelong learner, that’s really important to me. It’ll mean I get to spread my wings learning about things that I enjoy. And of course, LIFETIME ACCESS means in those busy times, if I need to put it aside (I’m thinking tax season), I can without paying for time I’m not using it. At the very least, if you’re looking into being a bookkeeper or increasing skills, check out the 5-day freebie. It can’t hurt, but can help.

Learning made easy! Margie does a great job breaking down each learning path. I also love the little celebrations after each section as well as her big celebration of/with you at the end of each certification! It's like she is sitting right next to you and has known you forever! I love it!

I just received my level 2 badge, and I could not be happier with the program Akadian has put together. I tried to do this on my own at first, but I found out quickly that I needed help. I was using a different program before this and it was way too expensive and did not feel right. I felt defeated until I stumbled upon a video on YouTube and I was sold. The format made it fun and easy to learn. Thank you, Margie and the Akadian team!!!!
