Looks like I'm not the only one who's got billed by them even when the service was cancelled. And they had the audacity to ask me why I left a bad review for their plugin. No point of contacting their support as they won't reply anyway so I opened a dispute with them. Fraudsters.

I cancelled the subscription over a year ago and have a screen shot from their own website. However, they billed me for the $99 for the basic (not Pro) plan without my knowledge anyway! They now make it impossible to cancel, so I am going to have to contact my credit card company to seek a refund. Unethical company.

Hi Ikigai, thank you for letting us know about this issue. That should definitely not have happened so I'd like to investigate it further to see what went wrong here. Can you please reach out to me via the Contact page on our website so that I can personally investigate this. Click on the "submit our Basic Question form" link and complete the contact form. Please mark this for the attention of Steve, the Customer Success Manager, so that I can reply to you and gather some more details.

We upgraded because the free version lacked basic options, such as the ability to add a noindex to a blog category. Since the upgrade, it has been quite a drama. All URLs disappeared from the XML sitemap. It has now been over a month since we've been working with their support team to get the sitemaps re-enabled. They confirmed that the bug is on their end, but a fix has not been shipped yet. Instead, they're responding with AI-generated messages that suggest temporary fixes (like disabling the sitemaps function in ALL in One SEO so the default one would come back), which don't work. So, waste of money, and we'll move to Yoast.

I had a very bad experience with AIOSEO / Semper Plugins. I was charged $199 for Invoice ID AIOSEO-860307, but I was not aware of this subscription and did not use or benefit from the service. After I noticed the charge, I contacted their support and requested cancellation of the subscription, cancellation of auto-renewal, and a refund. Even after requesting cancellation, I still received renewal-related communication, which made the situation more confusing and frustrating. I also disputed the charge through PayPal, but PayPal closed the case due to their purchase protection policy, not because the issue was resolved. I believe customers should be clearly informed before any subscription renewal charge, and cancellation/refund requests should be handled more fairly. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this company.

My website has been shut down for over a year. I did not renew it. I have emailed, chatted and called I can't get rid of it. It is like a blood sucking tentacle I can't get rid of. Beware.
Response from All in One SEO (AIOSEO)Feb 25, 2026
Hi Gerry, I completely understand how frustrating it must be to find yourself in this situation, especially since your website has been shut down for so long. I'm truly sorry for any stress this has caused you. We want every customer to have a positive experience with our product and support, and it's clear we've fallen short in your case. Regarding your subscription, I see that it renewed on December 7th, 2025 and that you opened a dispute through your credit card issuer. Disputes can be frustrating and time-consuming, because they can take a long time to resolve, due to the processes that different credit card companies follow. Unfortunately, when a dispute is open, the funds are held by the customer's credit card company, and are no longer available to us. This means that we're unable to process a refund until the dispute process has been completed and the dispute resolved. I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for, and I'm really sorry for any distress this situation is causing you. This is the process placed on all vendors by the major credit card companies. However, we're absolutely here to help guide you through this and I see that we've been in contact with you, and sent you the information that we've received from your credit card company regarding the status of your dispute. if you have any concerns about the dispute process or when your dispute will be resolved, then I do recommend you contact your credit card company as they're best placed to answer this. If there's anything else we can assist you with or if you want to discuss this further, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Billing team by replying to the ticket that we have opened for you. We'll be more than happy to help you in any way we can. Again, I'm really sorry for the trouble this has caused, and thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this with your credit card company.

Try cancelling….. impossible pages…. Must be 10 pages to read through… The basic plan does not include tracking…. What a mess of a company to allow this. O also tried to cancel within 1 day as I could see it was not working…. But no, no easy or simple way to do this. Basically this looks a CON. Avoid this Aioseo

Hi Robert, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with our team! I completely understand your frustration with our cancellation process, and I’m sorry that you found it longer than expected. Our intention was to provide an avenue where we can assist if you're facing any issues, ask for feedback on what we can do better, and share information about the benefits of our All in One SEO Pro plugin. We apologize that this came off as “a con”, that absolutely is not our intention. With regard to "tracking", All in One SEO Pro does include our Search Statistics features that provides insights into how your content is performing on Google Search, and which keywords are driving traffic to your site. However, All in One SEO doesn't include tracking such as you'd find in Google Analytics. We do enable you to easily connect to Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, where you can get visitor behavior tracking. If you have any questions about our Search Statistics features or our integration with Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, then please reach out to our Support team, and they'll be happy to help you.

DO NOT give them your credit card or PayPal account, they will never stop charging you renewals. I don't know how they get away with it, but PayPal lets them continue charging renewals even after dispute. Do not trust this company, they are foreign vultures!
