I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to study abroad with AIFS! I was able to accomplish everything I had hoped to and more. The staff were always available and incredibly helpful. They made the transition very easy and I always felt safe. The opportunity to live with a host family made the experience unforgettable. I wish I could relive my AIFS semester abroad!

AIFS provided me with a once in a lifetime opportunity and I will forever be grateful to them. The arrangements they provided with travel and accommodations were great and they went above and beyond when my flight home got canceled and rescheduled! I recommend AIFS to everyone who is considering study abroad!

I studied abroad with AIFS during the Spring Semester 2015 in Athens, Greece. I had one of the best experiences of my life and because of these experiences I am taking my parents to Greece with me to show them the country that was my home for 5 months. Studying abroad is an invaluable experience that will stick with you for a life time. When else will you have multiple months to pack up everything and live in a foreign country, learn a new language, and travel to countries you have only read about? If you have ever considered studying abroad do it...the worst thing that could happen is that you fall in love with being abroad and decide to stay for another semester. AIFS ensures that you have a local in country that will assist you along the way and so if this is your first time living abroad you can rest assured that you are never really "alone."

I studied abroad in Grenoble, France and had an amazing experience there; the faculty were wonderful, the classes were challenging but effective, the additional activities were fun, and - most importantly - the resident director was amazing. She made us all feel at home and was there for us no matter what we needed.

My semester in Prague provided me with so many unforgettable experiences and has inspired more travel to even further places. The staff at AIFS Prague helped make my transition to living in a foreign country easy by setting up local excursions and activities to expand my comfort in my new home. Overall, the company was amazingly supportive and I would recommend AIFS to anyone interested in study abroad. With the fairytale location, affordable pubs, endless travel opportunities and friendships that will last a lifetime, you can't go wrong with choosing this program.

I absolutely LOVED my semester in Salzburg, Austria this past fall. I loved our location, and the fact that it allowed for all the independence you wanted, but was also there to support you if needed. My only issues were ones that were relatively small. Firstly, one of the staff members during my time there was frankly a bit annoying, and slightly unprofessional. They allowed me to go on an excursion without my passport (even though I said I didn't have it before we left, and that I would completely understand if I couldn't go, it was my fault for forgetting) as they assured me this would be fine. We were then pulled over at the German border and I was faced with telling the customs officer myself that I did not have my passport as the staff member looked at me blankly and said "they need your passport" knowing full well that I did not have it. They really left me to fend for myself in the one moment I actually needed them. Also, I found the group trips to be somewhat disappointing and disorganized. Tours were NEVER what they promised to be. Overall though, I wouldn't change a thing and would do it all again if given the chance. Made some of the best friends!

I recommend AIFS to anyone interested in studying abroad! The package included everything that I needed, even meals and excursions throughout the semester. Programs are a great value, once I was abroad it felt like everything was already taken care of so I could really focus on getting acclimated to the new culture. I also felt very secure in a new country knowing that if I ever needed anything, there was an AIFS staff member at the local office who could help me! I had such a great experience in Spain that I studied abroad with AIFS the next semester in Costa RIca too!

AIFS not only cares about you during your study abroad experience, offering the utmost support and flexibility, but also continues to follow up with you afterwards on your experience, and invites you into the AIFS alumni family. No study abroad organization can beat AIFS in quality, hands down.
