The content of this course is very systematic, you can find the teacher at any time to consult any questions, very suitable for our children who have multiple school transfer experience, it is very convenient to check the gaps

Hello DogeHeaven! Thanks for your review. We wish you contacted your Academic Advisor, Instructor and asked for help. Your review doesn't have any specifics that we could improve. Thanks!

I rated Afficient math 2 stars because first of all, the demos were bad at explaining because sometimes they say an equation equals a number without explaining how they got to that number. As a result, I did not do that well in Proficiency or Afficiency. Also, in Afficiency I got 1 question wrong, but I changed it to right quickly, and it made me go down a lot. That's what happened to me when I went down 1.0 percent which is actually going down quite a lot in Afficiency. So, based on my recent experiences, I firmly believe that Afficient Math isn't teaching us to their full potential and that many changes could be useful, especially in the demos for the different skills.

Hi XChinn! Thanks for your review. If you couldn't follow a demo, did you take the help of an instructor? We have Q&A sessions available to receive help from instructors. After the demo, we also have Assisted Exercises where answers are partially filled. This helps understand the concepts better.

It does not teach anything, the demos have nothing to do with the questions.
Response from Afficient AcademyMay 15, 2024
Hello Lemon Cursed! More than 15,000 students have learned and benefitted using Afficient Academy's AI-driven programs so far, so it's a little hard to believe that it doesn't teach anything. If for any reason you didn't understand the demo, did you reach out to your instructor and asked for help?

THIS IS PAIN. I have to do this every day. Sometimes I get everything right for an hour and my percentage barely goes up. I sometimes punch the computer just because I get so mad.
Response from Afficient AcademyMay 15, 2024
Hello Jia! We can understand your pain but you must remember the old adage 'if there is no pain, there is no gain'. Whether it's sports, music or academic skills, one has to practice daily to master the skills. If a student spares 30 minutes a day in our programs, he/she can complete a grade level material in a few month and advance beyond the school grade level.

When you do afficeincy if you get 1 problem wrong then you get a new high score but if you do everything perfectly then it doesn't are they promoting wrong answers WHAT THE FLIP
Response from Afficient AcademyMay 15, 2024
Hello Tony Liao! In Afficiency session, there are always 6 problems. Based on the answers you provided, the correct answer will most likely increase the accuracy rate of the skill, and the incorrect answers will most likely decrease the accuracy rate of that skill. The change in score after the Afficiency session depends on the change in the overall accuracy rate. If you get all the 6 problems correct, your score after completing the Afficiency session will definitely go up. If you have only one mistake in the session, the score may not necessarily go down. Hope this explains.

Honestly the 1st month was going well and I met the words in books. Everything was great until I got to the next grade session, for some reasons the percentage wouldn't go up higher at all! My parents requires 60 percent each day and Afficient is not helping with that. I hate this app but I have to use it.
Response from Afficient AcademyMay 15, 2024
Hi Alexandra Lin! Since you advanced to a higher grade the work might be a little more difficult but if you keep patience, work hard and seek help from your instructors when you need it, you will realize the benefits of the fruits of your labor. Best wishes!

My son started in 4th Grade. He reached 6th grade by now, and his teacher said that he was "accused of skipping questions leading to "learning loss"." He was kicked back to 4th grade, and has to start over. "It's like building a 100 floor building, and I'm building the 51st floor, then teacher finds out and teacher becomes an earthquake and shakes so hard that the building collapses back down to the 1st floor and he has a pile of rubble, and start over." my son said.
Response from Afficient AcademyMay 16, 2024
Dear Henry Wang! If the teacher suggested your child to start at 4th grade, it's because he didn't master the skills required for the grade and possibly skipping questions, he had some skill gaps. The advise was to improve your son's skills, bridge the skill gaps, build a stronger foundation and move forward. This can be achieved in a few weeks or in a few months at the most. In the grand scheme of things, it wouldn't be a huge loss to start over for a 4th Grader. Your son's 100 floor building and earthquake example seems to be an exaggeration. Best wishes!
