Our journey with African Adventure Consultants was nothing short of extraordinary, completely redefining what luxury custom travel should be. We initially started our safari planning by contacting some of the heavily advertised tour operators on the internet, but they only provided run-of-the-mill itineraries that completely failed to consider our specific desires. Fortunately, we found our consultant, Angie, who delivered a complete masterclass in travel design, curating a flawless safari through Kenya and the Serengeti that exceeded every single expectation. Unlike those cookie-cutter companies, Angie started with an intensive hour-long interview about our travel preferences, past experiences, and likes/dislikes. She remained incredibly flexible throughout the process, happily modifying the itinerary as we did our own research, and she acted with immense integrity by honestly steering us away from unnecessary options that just run up the bill. Her logistics advice was game-changing; recommending we fly between camps instead of taking long, bumpy drives maximized both our comfort and our vacation time. The premier camps she selected were perfectly positioned to get us out first thing in the morning to see the animals while they were most active. We saw so much natural animal behavior that my partner ended up with over 100 favorite photos. To top it all off, Angie notified the camps that we were celebrating our 35th anniversary, and every single property went out of their way to make us feel celebrated. The firm has earned our trust for life, and we will absolutely use Angie for all our future travel.

We used Africa Adventure Consultants to book our trip to South Africa and Zimbabwe. ACC's attention to detail helped make our trip phenomenal. From arranging assistance through airports to private drivers and experiences, to a wonderful safari camp I did not want to leave, and to their professionalism during the process of building our itinerary made our trip flow seamlessly. ACC provided emergency contact information for every destination as well as an online app to access our itinerary during our trip. I would definitely recommend using AAC for travel destinations in Africa.

We interviewed various consultants about this 'trip of a lifetime' and landed on Sara Stark with Africa Adventure Consultants. We'd never used a consultant to schedule travel before, so it was a new to us experience. Oh my gosh. Every single detail was meticulous. The camps she recommended, the amazing staff at each place, the spot-on transport in-between, the 'bush' flights, the overnight hotel in Vic Falls, everything was beyond amazing. Perfect. We literally could not be happier. And then there was the actual 'safari' part of it all. Our guides and trackers were exceptional, the wildlife viewing was phenomenal. The meals were excellent. We received wonderful advice, and service from African Adventure Consultants. Sara and Madison worked with us to plan and implement a seamless two-week trip in Botswana and Zimbabwe. We have been on safaris in Tanzania, Zambia, and Kenya and this was the best. An absolutely amazing trip. In particular we loved both Ker & Downey's lodges at Kanana and Footsteps in Botswana. Each one of our guides and all the members of the hospitality team were so attentive and kind. They exceeded my expectations, as did the Elephant encounter in Zimbabwe at Victoria Falls. The awe I felt made me feel like a teenager! Of course, being with our teenaged granddaughter helped.

Nell from AAC designed is the most amazing and luxurious honeymoon safari to Tanzania. We were recommended by a friend and could not be happier with our trip. She was able to coordinate multiple different locations and lodges to see what Tanzania and Zanzibar had to offer. Every detail was pre-arranged where we could just show up and enjoy our honeymoon. I could not recommend Nell and AAC more!!

I just returned from a trip to New Zealand. This was my second experience with Africa Adventure Consultants and Angie. The first trip was to Africa. Both trips were meticulously planned and each truly exceeded expectations. Angie took ideas that we had gathered for some things we wanted to do in NZ, and combined those with her knowledge and experience to create an ideal itinerary for us. She was both fun and professional to work with. All emails and questions to her and her team were responded to immediately. They also have a great travel app for keeping up with the daily itinerary. Our trip to Kenya and Tanzania was magnificent. Sara planned a trip for us that took into consideration all our requests, from seeing Mount Kilimanjaro to visiting camps with open Land Rovers for game drives. She and Kerri were extremely helpful before the trip when we had an issue with my visa and they made sure I had the support I needed from their travel partners on-site. They even checked in during the trip to make sure everything was going as planned and followed up on our return for any comments we might have had. We can’t say enough good things about Sara and this company. All of the camps they picked for us were great. The accommodations and the food were above our expectations. Seeing the animals in their natural habitats was certainly the highlight of this trip. From the Ngorongoro Crater to the Serengeti, we saw so much. The herds of wildebeest in the Serengeti, stretching from horizon to horizon, took our breath away. I really enjoyed seeing all the babies. The driver/guides at all of the camps made sure we got to see everything possible, from mating animals to lions feasting on their prey. Their knowledge about all the animals made each drive memorable. We also appreciated the chance to learn about the Maasai culture when we visited a community near the crater. This trip was perfect and we wouldn’t change a thing.

Transfers were perfectly coordinated, and we never waited more than a couple of minutes anywhere, and drivers and guides were often early and already expecting us. Each day flowed effortlessly into the next, with zero stress on our end. It felt like traveling in the most elevated, invisible system where everything just worked. She also went above and beyond in ways we didn’t even anticipate. When we encountered unexpected travel disruptions in the Maldives due to airspace closures in the Middle East, Angie and her team were already tracking our journey in real time. She had multiple people monitoring our route and proactively ensuring we made it home safely. That level of care and oversight is something you simply cannot put a price on. The experiences she curated were equally extraordinary. From breathtaking safari moments with top-tier guides she personally selected for us, to unforgettable properties and activities that felt completely tailored to our style, and every destination felt like the best possible version of itself.
