If a part was advertised as “new” and arrived with another unit’s VIN already programmed into it — along with active fault codes — that is absolutely concerning. A new OEM SAM module or electronic control unit should not have prior programming or stored faults. We take claims like this very seriously. We’re glad to hear the ordering process itself was smooth, but that does not outweigh receiving a unit that appears previously programmed or defective.
