If you think taxes are boring, you haven’t met Ryan at Advanced Tax Group. The man is equal parts tax strategist and stand-up comedian, with a Louisiana accent that makes even capital gains sound charming. I came in expecting spreadsheets and yawns but instead I got laughter, legally aggressive deductions, and a whole new perspective on how to actually play chess with the IRS with ordinary and necessary (the legal kind, don’t worry). Ryan doesn’t feel like your typical accountant. He’s sharp, creative, wildly entertaining, and knows how to make complex strategies sound simple or at least a lot more fun when delivered with that Cajun flair. Honestly, I would watch this man do tax returns on stage. Huge shoutout to Lara too because she was the wizard behind the curtain making sure everything got set up cleanly and painlessly. Organized, friendly, and on top of every detail. The kind of person who makes onboarding feel like a breeze instead of a bureaucratic black hole. If you want tax advice that’s smart and entertaining, go here. Just don’t be surprised if you laugh through your strategy session and leave wondering why all accountants aren’t like this.
