Great frames! Excellent customer service! Terrible prescription
I am glad to write this review because I really love these frames. I have a pair if the sunglasses and I wear them everyday. However when I bought the glasses with a prescription they were wrong. I couldn't see through them at all. They received the prescription directly from my eye doctor's office. I think the prescription technician is not good. I was so disappointed when I opened the box and tried them on and they were totally wrong. I couldn't see a thing. It was not my prescription in those glasses. (I sent them back today.) You really need to correct this problem for the future because your frames are the best out there as far as I can tell. I have spent many hours searching and buying eyeglass frames from other companies with the wind protector shields because I have severe dry eye and have to wear them everyday when I'm outside. Please try to find a way to streamline your system to make it better. I have an idea: first, ask the customer to get the paper prescription and scan it or fax and then "after" you receive it, email the customer and send the scanned document for them to look at, to make sure it is correct. Secondly, make sure the lens technician doesn't make any mistakes. (I don't know how to do that.) But you could have two technicians check the prescription to double check it is correct before mailing it out. Thank you for the opportunity to speak. Kim

Kim, I understand your frustration. But the root of this problem was beyond our control. We agree that you should receive a copy of the prescription that was entered online. The purchase confirmation that was sent out has all this prescription information on it. This information was entered incorrectly, but this confirmation did not affect the outcome of this job. We make it as easy as possible for people to submit their prescription. There is an email address, a fax number, and directions to send the prescription with a cell phone listed online. And when the lab finishes with a prescription lens we compare the lensometer reading from the finished lens to the actual prescription to confirm that the finished free-form digital lens is within 1/100th of a diopter of what the doctor prescribed. If the prescription is not exactly what your doctor ordered we will remake the lenses. We want to make sure that you are completely satisfied with these glasses. If there is anything else you need just let me know. I’m Dave, and I own ADS Sports Eyewear.
