The company is supposed to be in Michigan which so am I abut the net is coming from a different state out west so the expected delivery date is longer than I thought but the product that Adams brings to the table is good quality so far from past purchase

Very well designed. Perfect for the average sized, riverine trout we have here in the northeast. The net is extremely light, weighing a fraction of the weight of the plastic/graphite nets out there that sell for twice the price. The grip is comfortable and perfectly proportioned. I even like the stealthy olive green color of the net frame. I like the small mesh, rubberized net bag much better than the heavy white rubber, so called “ghost" net bag used by other net manufacturers. I did see a few spots on the net bag that looked like it might unravel, so I reinforced these areas with Loon Knot Sense to reinforce these areas before using the net. I also purchased a replacement net bag so I would have a back-up. The one thing I do not like is the elastic lanyard that extends from the grip. It is a cheap, elastic cord that will eventually fail. A simple brass or stainless steel eye hook with a quick release clip would work much better and would allow the user to set up the net the way he wants to. I’m trying to come up with a way to do just that. If I succeed, I plan to use a heavy duty net retriever from Gear Keeper with the net for quick access.

Thanks for the review Vince! We make a very high quality aluminum net at a very good price and have had great success with them. However we will consider your thoughts in future production. I do feel a 3 star review is harsh but I will always respect the customers opinion. Thanks again!!

The item is well made, but entirely to small to weigh catfish. I tried repeatedly to make contact with AdamsBuilt Fishing, to return the item, with no luck. Now I'm stuck with a $58 dust collector.

Hi Scott, We are very sorry the weigh and measure net wasn't usable for your huge catfish! (holds fish 36"+ and up to 30lbs) Unfortunately we are surprised by your review as we have not received a phone call or email concerning your situation. Please give us a call, we will do our best to help take care of your dust collector. Thank you and have a great day!

I found your shipping costs to be high. It cost me almost as much for the shipping as it did for your product.

Curt, unfortunately we have no control over the very high shipping costs by the major shipping companies. However, to help out customers with this issue, we provide free shipping to all on orders over $100. Thank you for your order despite the freight costs and we hope to serve you again in the future!
