Receive discount/savings offers regularly but the promotion code never works for the items I am trying to order. I have read the exclusions in the fine print and the items I want are not listed. Talked with service reps but I never get a straight answer, only that other items may not apply. What a waste of my time. I want to try and support smaller franchises rather than the big box stores but with Ace, this is not possible and I am at the point where I will not even bother looking at their merchandise.

Horrible customer service . They hire bunch of young people who obviously have no idea how to handle customers

For as long as I can remember, anytime that I needed something from the hardware store, I always went to ACE instead of Lowes or Home Depot FIRST. Not anymore! In fact, I will never spend another penny at ACE. Today, I was very disappointed when I went to return a few items, to be told that "THEY DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS FOR ITEMS BOUGHT PRIOR TO A HURRICANE OR TROPICAL STORM" In other words, they have no problem robbing you blind (price gouging) by charging $60.00 for a 50' extension cord, but if you want to return it - FORGET IT. After today, I would encourage anyone in need of ANY hardware item to quickly cross ACE off of your list. Go to Lowes or HD instead - they will serve you graciously, and if you need to return something - NO PROBLEM! How dare ACE take advantage of people in preparation for a hurricane! I hope they go out of business QUICK! They deserve it!

Ace is NOT the place for storm preparation material. If you find an item they have in stock online theu will gladly take your money and then send you conflicting emails stating that your order is ready AND your order is cancelled. When you call for clarification you are told your order has been cancelled. Which means the money youve spent on materials you thought you purchased remains in banking limbo for how many days it takes your bank to credit your account. Because shutting down online services ahead of time makes too much sense. Thankfully the competition doesnt seem to have this problem. Guess that explains why ACE has become so irrelevant these days.

Just left the Westlake,Ohio store.Very rude manager and cashier. I left without my purchase and will never go in the store again. They need lessons on how to talk to a customer.

Bad bad bad bad bad please begin to allow to give negative star ratings. This store PENNSBURG PA location is an embarrassment to our town. The customer service is a ball of attitude disrespect . They speak to you like your trash and stupid and as your still in their store walking out they loudly speak poorly of you. The customer. Wow. We went in for sand paper and left to go to Home Depot where your respected. They tried to charge triple for sandpaper than what the price even is... what??!! Customer service is more like an evil gang. Their prices aren’t part of the review but boy oh boy just go to Walmart and get the same thing half the price. Never again ACE... never again. Word of mouth is how small business like you grown and trust me being social as my family is you should have chosen to be kind to your customers. This is also a review for a customer of ACE that was mistreated days prior when my husband and I were there for something else... a woman in front of us bought 3 bags of mulch and was kind and sweet as pie placed her order and went out side to grab her mulch... the second she walked out the RUDE LITTLE GIRL employee said right in front of ya... other customers “what did she buy? You better watch her!” What??? That’s awful... then proceeded to speak to her own employee like she was stupid and told her she does it all wrong that there wasn’t even 3 bags of mulch left... runs outside and pretends to be nice to the lady and runs ahead of her to the mulch... I was fed up already just watching ace behave that way and then to directly disrespect my husband and I. Nope this is a review to the poor lady that had no idea and the unfortunate treatment we had there today. Ace you are bad people and not just one ALL employees we have dealt with so far are rude. By all means ACE PLEASE REPLY! I will be happy to upload to full recording of your customer service. I will be happy to have the person on the phone with me during as well chime in.. (they were disgusted by your customer service and I know you know which ones you are). Please reply so you can prove your terrible customer service in a review about your terrible customer service. I’m ready!

The store in Crete, IL is horrible. Customer service is non existent. They're in it for sales - period. Couldn't be bothered to help me get a drive belt for my lawnmower. Just looked and said they didn't have it but could order it and it would be there next week. Also, prices too high!

what a joke.....bought 16 gallons of paint mixed the wrong color,0n some cans..... i had to pay the painter for work for there fault..corporate office was was hopeless.. never called back .. left messages the manger in donelson..NO call back... PS they never take coupons......
