Unable to get an online account to work. Have talked to their customer support numerous times and have gotten nowhere. Wrote corporate, no response, customer service supposed to call me back, nope. Time to do my shopping at the big orange box, Ace you suck.

Our local store never has anything they say they have online. When you ask about it in the store, they just say "If it's not on the shelf, we don't have it." Ordered something to pick up at the store that they said they had in stock. Several hours later, I got a notice that they canceled the order. Customer Service number is an absolute JOKE. The last person I spoke to was based in Mexico and my email was answered with misspelled words and poor grammar. I'm pretty sure my previous call to "Customer Care"(which is laughable) was also in another country. I should have checked this site for reviews before I even thought about shopping there. Absolutely the worst, even worse than Lowe's and Home Depot, and Walmart COMBINED.

Bought a Toro lawnmower less than a month ago. First one was defective. Brought it back. Second one was defective (same problem). Now, I have a bad taste in my mouth and asked for a refund. Ace says "NO. Once the unit has gas inside it we don't give refunds." That seems just swell because I don't know how You TEST a lawnmower WITHOUT putting gas in it. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE-POOR QUALITY CONTROL

BAD customer service. Employees are terrible.

My local store is excellent. Acehardware.com is not! I ordered 10 bags of dirt and a little roll of garden fence. I ordered it all for delivery, since I could not pick up the dirt myself. They sent me the fence (for $10 shipping!) and wanted me to pick up the dirt. Then, they would only cancel the pick-up order and said I could return the little fence but they were going to keep the $10 shipping!! It took me 2 hours to even get somebody on the line to cancel the order for pick-up. I will never order from acehardware.com again.

I saw that you can buy a griddle and have assembled for $20 with free delivery. When you go to buy, no such thing, I was charged $50 for shipping. I also ordered a griddle cover and you really can's ship in back, Ace makes it very difficult and then I have to pay for shipping again! I don't have an Ace around me. Also, there delivery man wearing a Trump hat and no mask, NICE!!!! I wouldn't rec. No wonder we all order from Amazon, maybe gets some advice from them! Arlyce

I ordered some Milwaukee parts from the website, and immediately after ordering found them on a competitors website for a better deal. I went online to cancel the order and was unable to do so due to technical errors. I called the phone number and they were closed. I sent a message to them via the Contact Us page, and they said they couldn’t cancel a Ship to Home order. They advised me to return it to a store. When the return time came around, I was only given a partial refund because of shipping. Even after calling and explaining the situation, they still refused to give me a full refund even though it was their fault my order wasn’t cancelled in time. I will not shop here again.

Once a mistake twice stupid. Avoid Ace at all cost, they sell items listed as in stock but DON'T have them at the store where they claim "in stock pick up today"
