DO NOT order online from Ace Hardware. The Item has NO TRACKING and no-one at the support numbers knows a dang thing about where the item is because they have NO TRACKING ability to track the item in shipment. It's now 2 days past when they said it would be at the store. They emailed me saying "ITEM IS READY FOR PICKUP". I drive all the way to Ace Hardware to pick it up and the item and it's NOT THERE! This company SUCKS at Customer Service. And the support personnel was rude on top of that. Save yourself the headache and order from a reputable company that has TRACKING NUMBERS and good Customer Service. First & LAST time I will ever order anything online from this company.

Was in store in bowling green kentucky on us 31 w bypass, in there for 20 minutes. Had a coupon for a hallmark card. I have used these coupons at the other ace locations with no problem and told them that, they said " well, just go there ". I have worked retail 30 years & would never tell customer to go somewhere else. Instead of figuring out problem, she said couldn't figure it out. So I left. Very poor service, will not go back & not sure if I will go to any Ace in future

I ordered a generator online with a credit card that was in stock at the local store prior to an impending hurricane. After not receiving a notification that it was ready for pickup, I called the store and found that it had already been sold. The employee who answered the phone had to log in to look at the online sales. Apparently they sold it before checking to see if it was bought online.

Would leave them a zero if possible. Rented a truck from the Manhattan Kansas store on Tuttle Creek Blvd. Made me buy 3 gallons of gas to fill up the truck I rented and drove 14 miles. Make sure to tell them the gas tank is NOT FULL no matter if it’s on the F or not. They will make you fill it or charge you an exorbitant amount even though the needle didn’t move at all. Have shopped at Ace in my home in Overland Park, Ks for years….expected better. I miss True Value.

I tried to return an item at my local Ace hardware in Ortonville Michigan and the fact that I bought it at a different Ace they would not return it. The manager came to the register and said they did not stock that item and would not take it back. Now I have to drive 30 minutes to return the item. Ace claims to be your local neighbor hardware but I would rather drive 25 minutes to Home Depot for ANYTHING than to ever make another purchase at this place two blocks away.

4 days ago I ordered shelving and after paying with my CCRD, saw the charge in my bank account. Then 2 days later I get an e-mail from Ace telling me my order has been cancelled…..no reason, just cancelled. I went into diff sections for more info but still see nothing. I called and found out they were out of stock, yet still charged my CCRD and haven’t credited my acct yet. I was told the credit would come back 7-10 business days. Why did the purchase go thru if they were out of stock?!?! Why didn’t they clearly tell me why it was cancelled?!? Horrible customer service!!!

I bought things at one ace but tried to return it at another. I was told no by the store owner and corporate told me I have to go back to the original store an hour and a half away. Home depot and Lowes forgive me for straying...

Do not trust Ace Hardware's website. It will tell you that an item is in stock, when it is not. Drove 20 minutes to pick up a product showing in stock and available for pick up today, only to find out that the item was not in stock. Been an Ace customer for years, love that they are locally owned. At this point not sure if I will continue. They need to get their website fixed to stop inconveniencing their customers.
