Having worked as a pharmacist, I'm appalled at the lack of care that this pharmacy gives its patients. Even after working the prior authorization through with another pharmacy, this pharmacy takes a few days to even put the transferred rx into their system. Then it gets gets stuck in several steps of the process. It's gotten so bad, the doctor changed meds after the first few weeks so they could supply us with samples. Started the nightmare again. 5 weeks later... still dealing with accredo. So 2 constructive criticisms. First, tell the patient what is happening. We can do a lot on our end. Second, repeating a never ending litany of, "it will take 5-8 days" from customer service is not useful. And constantly offering to speak to a pharmacist about a missed dose... also not helpful. How about you get those pharmacists checking rx's, handling PAs, and figuring out why the scripts aren't processing. Then you wouldn't need them counseling about missed doses. If customer service doesn't know what the hang up is, then your system is broken.
