Someone didn't do their job AGAIN and didn't submit the claim to the assistance program. So instead, they decided to send me a $4,000 bill AND CANCEL my subscription! This is the SECOND TIME they have done this. I had to take my credit card off my account because they auto billed it for the 4 grand last time and then DISPUTED the refund! I absolutely HATE this company. Doesn't surprise me with their 1.1 star rating. I'd give ZERO stars if I could. UPDATE Now since I have my prescription ready and prior authorization, they are trying to get me to pay $3,2000 up front before they ship out my order!

They should train hostage negotiators with phone calls to Accredo, the pharmceutical terrorists!
Negligent and harmful company! They will lie, deny, delay and not send you critical specialty meds. We've had my daughter's medication approved for almost a month and no amount of escalation will get them to ship out the medication. They've lied and come up with every excuse under the sun. Examples, my insurance is out of network, that we don't have prior authorization, that the insurance won't cover it. All LIES!
I've called them multiple times with my insurer and they keep giving 48-72 business hours as estimated processing time. It has NEVER been processed. One time, they even tried to say it would take 48-72 business DAYS to process!
The original brand name wasn’t approved by insurance (according to Accredo) so the doctor submitted another prescription for a biosimilar. Then, the biosimilar wasn’t approved only the original! So the doctor had to resend a new script for the brand name one because they had cancelled it out without a single phone call! I had been waiting for it for weeks and wasted time. Finally, they couldn’t send out the brand name one because it was supposedly too soon for a refill! We’ve never even received the first dose!
Meanwhile, my daughter is suffering and in pain and even her eyes are affected now, but they don’t care! I am looking into reporting them and also potentially filing a lawsuit because what they are doing is criminal. Escalating does NOTHING! I’ve spoken to probably every employee at Accredo at this point, except for the ACTUAL “processing” team who are all conveniently offline and unreachable by any forms of communication. I wouldn’t be surprised if they use Morse code to communicate over there. Their systems have crashed and I’ve been hung up on countless times. I've been on the phone with them for at least 50+ hours like it's my full-time job. And their hold music is the soundtrack to my nightmares! They have caused us so much pain and suffering already.
Please believe all the reviews on here. It’s all true, unfortunately. They should not be trusted by any insurance companies with such important medications.
5/29 UPDATE: I feel like I’ve just completed weeks of master hostage negotiation training. I’ve never cried so much on the phone in my life and feel like I need therapy after the trauma that is Accredo. They are a bunch of pharmaceutical terrorists! I think we will finally get our meds shipped out but we’ll see. I’ve lost all trust in the system at this point.
5/30 Update: We got our meds! But now, new fear unlocked...having to go through this hell again next month for her refill! I’m trying to get another specialty pharmacy approved through my insurance so I don’t ever have to deal with them again. Pray for me!
Shout out to Gerald!!! You are the one shining star among the sea of incompetent zeroes at Accredo! If I could give you a million stars I would. You have saved my mental health and have given my daughter her life back. Thank you!
And to my fellow victims suffering at the hands of this drug overlord: Don’t believe when they say they’re assigning you a caseworker or the ultimate lie that they will call you. Call them back every time, keep escalating til you get someone who can help, and whatever you do, don’t give up! That’s what they’re counting on! Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Express Scripts/Accredo is a disgrace.
Express Scripts/Accredo has been overcharging me for over two years. I've spent hours on the phone with them. This last cycle the online price overcharged me, so I had to call again. An hour on the phone and the price was corrected. Three weeks ago my endocrinologist ordered my medication. A rep called me over a week later and said she needed payment first. I gave her my credit card info. I told her I no longer had any medication. She said I would receive it in 3 days. Over a week later I called and was told I wouldn't get it until the 28th of May. I told her I was out of medicine and was leaving town on the 26th for two weeks. She then said I would receive it on the 20th. I received a robo call on the 20th saying it was delayed. I called and the rep said he would put in an emergency order. I received another robo call saying it would be delivered on the 22nd. It still hasn't arrived. This is just one snippet out of the past 3 years of trouble with this company. Why aren't we being treated like human beings? I earned this pharmacy benefit. I should be able to go to a local pharmacy to pick up my much needed medicines and not have to wait weeks and go without.

F YOU ACCREDO
If I could give Accredo no stars I would. Recently I've been trying to get a vacation override (for many months now) and I call them at least twice a week. Every time they tell me something new from "I can't see any vacation override" to "you should get a call back to schedule the order in an hour". I would switch pharmacies but as a chronically ill young adult on an expensive medication, I have no choice. Now, a week before I leave, they tell me it's because there are no refills left!!!!! Loosing my mind, I feel crazy. Regularly, I have sit on the phone with them to schedule my medication to be delivered every week which can take an hour. I've been off my medication for weeks at a time when they refuse to give it to me and say I'll get a call back and never do. Genuinely this can't be legal, I didn't choose this life, don't be rude, mean, and inconvenient about it!!!!!!!! My heart goes out to my fellow Accredo users.

This company is negligent and incompetent at a whole new level.
This company Acreddo is borderline criminal
Their negligence is going to cost somebody their lives
I’ve been out of medicine for two weeks and I’ve listened to their lies every day spending an hour and a half or more on the phone, listening to one bogus story after another
Escalating your issue does nothing
I’ve been all over the world and I know a lot about different cultures and languages, but I have no idea what God forsake, and Third World country manages their health death because you can’t understand a word they say they speak from a poorly written script and they lie to you nonstop
What I really would like to know is, how could TRICARE do this to military members who have faithfully serve their country? How could you farm us out for specialty medicines to Pharmacy? That is so incompetent it baffles the mind.
I didn’t think this level of incompetency existed. I can’t get this medicine from the Base any longer and I can’t get it off Base. I’m forced to get it from this three ring circus called Accredo. I guarantee you nobody that works here uses their stupid Pharmacy. What if it was one of their family members that was desperately needing medicine I’m on a medication. I must take every day in order to fight to save my life and I’ve been out of medicine for two weeks and they don’t give any concern whatsoever, but just keep running you around in a circle and they’ve done it with my doctors office as well Now my doctor is completely fed up with this whole thing and I don’t blame her I never thought TRICARE would do this to us by forming us out to a bunch of illiterate morons that have no idea about anything pharmaceutical wise.
If you could’ve heard the advice, I got from one of their so-called pharmacists which I highly doubt they’re even a pharmacist you would’ve fell out of your chair.
This is truly heartbreaking that we as the military who have served our country faithfully have been left at the hands of these incompetent pathological liars

Furious. Overcharged $$$$ repeatedly!
Furious! Express Scripts Pharmacy Express Scripts Pharmacy Benefit Services Accredo Specialty Pharmacy has now again charged my cc, without authorization, for hundreds of dollars that I have repeatedly told them to stop. I was assured, yet again, on Monday that automatic payments were turned off on my account. I was assured that the rx would be processed through insurance and then the co-pay assistance program BEFORE I would be invoiced for the balance. The Lilly Heath co-pay assistance program assured me there were enough funds to cover the RX. There is ZERO reason I should have to be fighting this hard to not be overcharged over $700 for a single dose of needed medication!!! I have been trying to get this done correctly for weeks. RX has been shipped, but I will have to meet UPS at the door and refuse the delivery because there is zero chance I will be able to take this medication at over $700 a dose!

I have had numerous billing issues…
I have had numerous billing issues since I started with Accredo less than a year ago and I am already at the end of what I can mentally handle. I was told by the rep before they refilled my infusion medication that my cost is 0 because I have private insurance and copay assistance programs. A month later, after I had infused the medication weekly, I suddenly had a bill for 600.00 in my account. After putting my infusions on hold for 3 weeks due to not trusting anymore refills and spending hours on the phone (LITERALLY hours for each call) and missed work due to all the calls, someone finally tells me my balance was for nursing and my copay assist program won't cover nursing copays (my nursing is also provided by Accredo with this medication and no one mentioned this). They asked me to apply for another copay assist program that did cover nursing and I did and was approved. I told them I didn't want another shipment sent out until I knew 100% that I wouldn't have any more surprise out of pocket costs because I couldn't afford it. While at work, someone from Accredo left a voicemail stating all of my costs would be covered by my insurance and both copay assist programs and I would not have any out of pocket costs and my medication was shipped. I work from 8-7 two days a week and 8-5 the other days of the week so the hours it takes to call Accredo for a simple update or refill has been difficult. All seemed to be okay until last week when I just happened to look in my patient portal and saw I now had a balance of over 1900.00. I had set up a payment plan for the 600.00 balance I had previously and the billing department promised me I would not have any other expenses coming in. Again hours of phone calls including one with my insurance rep on the other line with me trying to find out what these charges are for and why nothing was billed to my copay assist programs. In the portal, I noticed my copay assist information had been removed and I called to find out what was going on. One rep told me I was out of funds in my copay assist program from her notes. I called my copay assist program and verified I was not out of funds and had enough to cover the balance. I called Accredo back and they transferred me to billing who said they couldn't bill the funds as they didn't have the copay assist information in the back end to bill them and I had to call my copay assist again and get it for them and call back (it turns out it is the same BIN number for everyone and the name of the company). I called Accredo back with the information and gave it to a rep who quickly told me that information was already in their system and they would create a ticket for billing AGAIN to bill my copay assist. I also noticed 50.00 charges and 150.00 copays in my insurance portal for the weeks I cancelled my infusions so requsted an itemized list of everything they have billed me and my insurace for since January and what they billed to my copay assist program. I have not received that information yet. There is no way to communicate with anyone other than a phone call and each call takes hours where you are tranferred around, put on hold and then suddenly disconnected so that you have to start the process all over again. You speak to a different person each time who has no idea why you are calling. I have a long term infusion medication and have used a different specialty pharmacy in the past and never had any of these issues. I am mentally so stressed that I put my medication on hold again and am trying to find a different pharmacy or a different medication as I can't do this anymore. They need to stop tellng people their out of pocket expense is 0 during the refill call then ship the medication and provide the nursing and then charge the patient huge balances later with no explaination. Bill the copay assist programs if they are there and communicate with the patient and let them know what you are billing them for when you suddenly give them a balance. Increase communication with reps on cases and concerns so that the patient doesn't get a different answer depending on who they speak to. Simplify the refill process so that it doesn't take over an hour on the phone for each refill. Provide costs in writing so that the patient doesn't get a different answer depending on the rep they happen to speak to that day. Stop transfering the patient to so many different departments just to get a simple answer and have a system where the departments communicate information to other departments so that the reps have the information. I am a patient person but the mind scrambling with different information and days of phone calls that have to take place when just trying to just find out what I was billed for and why my cost wasn't 0 as quoted is just horrible. I still have a big bill and 0 answers. I need someone at Accredo to help with this.

They hold us hostage and make us sick.
I am required to get long term medication with them, or pay out of pocket. I have spent hours and hours and hours trying to get prescriptions filled that were refused for ambiguous reasons, only to have every single step of the process fail along the way. At this point in time I am taking a dosage of medication above what I would prefer simply because if I change the dosage, I will have to go through their rotten process and, most likely, do without the prescription for an extended length of time as they deny the fill over and over again. Their remedy is to speak to a pharmacist when things go wrong, as they ultimately do, who cannot remedy their inefficient and downright harmful fulfillment process. I explained to the pharmacist that without my medication I will experience gastro side effects - he told me to go to the emergency room. Another remedy was to speak to a supervisor, who advised me that I could just go pay for my meds at a pharmacy instead. I have and pay for private insurance; yet her suggestion was that I pay 2k more for my covered medication because they cannot communicate specific issues and remedies to their customers and their customers medical providers and/or resolve the problems their faulty system creates. This is the level of incompetence we deal with and to PRETEND that this company is delivering service on any acceptable level is no longer viable; every single government agency and political entity is aware of the problems we the customers are having, yet not one agency or entity is moving to resolve it. It is my opinion that a class action suit against this company for their consistent failures in timely delivery of medication and the resulting suffering and losses we experience as customers is the only thing that will create a change for the people who are literally held hostage by their fulfilment failures on a regular basis.
