A1 Garage Door Repair sent a tech out to fix our garage door. The motor had met its fate and needed to be replaced. I was charged $1,100 for a $300 motor. $250 for 1 hour of labor. Afterwards, when I realized this, I contacted the tech and he wouldn't answer me. I called A1 Garage Door Repair and they said they are just a dispatcher, they will have the tech call me. And he did not. I reached out to him again, and he replied his office manager will call me. They have not. If you enjoy being ripped off and ghosted, this is the company for you.

the service guy was very good. the prices this company charges are a rip off. can you really charge $43 for a roller that you can buy for $40 for 10 of them.I would not recomend this company to anyone, with the fear that they would be ripped off also. And to charge $68 for shop fees for what!

This company is INSANE! They gave me a quote ranging from $9,000 to $25,000 for what I initially understood to be one builder-grade 8' x 10' garage door. I was shocked, so I called them to clarify. They explained that the quote was actually for two garage doors and two motors. I clearly told the technician while he was on-site that I only needed to replace one garage door panel. I honestly don’t understand why they provided a quote for products and services I never requested. After I questioned the quote, they adjusted the price and told me they could replace the garage door for $3,300. Even at that price, it was still significantly higher than the quotes I received from other garage door companies. In my experience, this company’s sales approach is far too aggressive and seems heavily focused on maximizing the sale rather than understanding what the customer actually needs. I would strongly recommend getting quotes from other companies before considering them. Don’t waste your time scheduling an appointment with them!

We scheduled A1 Garage Door Service online at approximately 12:00 p.m. for a technician to repair our broken garage door, with a confirmed service window of 2:00–5:00 p.m. At 4:55 p.m.—just five minutes before the end of the appointment window—I called to check on the technician's arrival. Only then was I informed that our appointment had been canceled and rescheduled for the following day. No one had contacted us in advance, after we had wasted nearly five hours waiting for a service technician who was never coming. I explained that one of our vehicles was trapped inside the garage because the door would not open, making this much more than a simple inconvenience. Despite our situation, there was very little concern or apology. The best they could offer was a new appointment between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. the next morning. I explained that since A1 canceled the appointment at the last minute, we should have been given the first service call of the day. That request was denied. I then asked to speak with a manager, only to be told that no manager was available. I understand that unexpected scheduling issues can occur. What disappointed me most was the lack of communication, the absence of any sense of urgency, and the unwillingness to make things right after canceling our appointment at the last minute. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend A1 Garage Door Service. If dependable customer service and honoring scheduled appointments are important to you, I would look elsewhere.

Wish i read before hiring them..if you google complaints: it says: predatory high-pressure sales tactics, deceptive bait-and-switch pricing, and significantly inflated costs for parts compared to the market. I really do not like to complain against a company that now hold a warranty on the part and service they did but if they dont handle that properly theres always the NV State Contractors Board. First repairman was super friendly and seemed competent..we had a broken spring. He gave me options for the spring...i selected the one within our budget and paid over $500. I left him to do the work. I went out to see how it was going and from that moment on ..everytime i went out he told me something else was wrong. Until i reached my breaking point and asked..why didnt you tell me all this upfront? Do i need a new door??? His reply "well thats up to you..im just letting you know that your spring may not hold up due to these other issues". At that point i just wanted him gone. He just made me feel id made the worse investment in buying the spring. He shouldve evaluated it all and presented it all from the start..not after he had my garage door hanging off the rod and putting in the new spring! The inspection breakout they left me with made it look like all these issues could void the waranty he just told me covered the spring. This is a highly unethical way to do business. Next.. Its a couple weeks later and we notice the door is bowing slightly. It hadnt been. So I requested a new tech. come take a look. This one was rude..he told me i just didnt notice it before..then he asked me "did you look at your neighbors doors?" What does that have to do w my garage???? He told me it was normal and left. Afterward as i drove around my neighborhood i saw doors that were perfectly straight and some bowed. So??? How do i know if those bowed ones are not giving out? I called A1 to ask for something in writing on the last techicians finding...they said they dont have a form for that. I said just send an email. Oh we cant do that. The way this company does business is a highly questionable. As i said if id read the google finding beforehand i would never have used them. Buyer beware!

The tech stole what wasn't his to take. The tech told me that the new garage door costs between $4000 – $6000. I said I'd have to get another estimate. While I was in the house, he removed the contact stickers of another competitive company. Then, when I asked him about it, he blatantly lied. FYI – I was able to get the garage door installed by another company at one third of their estimate.

TERRIBLE company. The technician had to reschedule the first time because he was running behind, I had stayed home for 3 hours (which was my window), and in the end he had to reschedule. So I rescheduled for the next week where he told me on the phone he would be there right at 12 (I had a 12-3 window), and same story. So around 2 PM I called and they said he at my house. He was not. I called 35 minutes later and they said he was running behind and would have to reschedule!!!!!!!! So again, 6 total hours of my day(s) wasted and I STILL HAVE A BROKEN garage. door If you value your time, DO NOT SCHEDULE WITH A-1.

Called for a spring repair/new install and it was over $2000.00. For a spring? They cost 100-300 for parts only. I understand install and craftsmanship. Really I do. Total ripoff. The technician was a fear monger and took advantage of the situation. Oh but wait… you get a lifetime warranty. Whose lifetime? Mine isn’t that long. If you love getting ripped off call A1 garage.
