While the program includes a structured lifestyle curriculum, members always have access to schedule live visits with registered dietitians and ongoing health coaching sessions. Much of the personalization happens within those conversations, where care plans can be tailored to individual goals, history, and challenges. There are also situations where members may begin GLP-1 treatment sooner than the full 12-week program; however, those exceptions are based on specific clinical criteria and are determined by the clinical and prescribing teams to ensure safe, appropriate care. To clarify, 9amHealth does not determine insurance coverage requirements. Some health plans require members to engage with a clinical support program in order for GLP-1 medications to be authorized or refilled, and we work within those plan rules. We understand how disruptive this can feel, especially when you already have an established provider and dietitian. Because we can’t discuss personal health or insurance details publicly, we will look into your request off line.
