I did not choose to use 9amHealth. Forced. Terrible!!!!
I did not choose to use 9amHealth. My health insurance required me to enroll in order to continue coverage for a medication I have successfully taken under the care of my own physician for well over a year. My biggest concern is not the telehealth model itself. Telehealth can be a valuable option for many people. My concern is being required to leave the physician who knows my medical history and instead work through a separate system for one specific prescription. The transition has been frustrating. I experienced confusion regarding my prescription and pharmacy, received conflicting information from different sources, and spent significant time trying to get answers. While the representatives I spoke with were polite and tried to help, the overall process felt disorganized and created unnecessary stress. More importantly, I don’t believe patients with established physicians should be forced into a single telehealth pathway to maintain insurance coverage. There should be an option for qualified treating physicians to continue managing these medications under the same clinical standards. I hope the process improves for future patients, but based on my experience, this has reduced not improved my confidence in the continuity of my care.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand how frustrating it can feel when your health plan or medications change. At 9amHealth, licensed clinicians review each member's health history before making care decisions, including prescribing or approving medications. This helps us make sure care is safe and appropriate for each person. We can't review individual situations in a public forum, but we'd like to help. Please reach out to our Care Team at (202) 932-9958 or [email protected] so we can take a closer look at your experience and talk through your options. Your feedback matters to us. We're always working to improve how we support and communicate with the people we serve.
