It would be nice if payments were monthly instead of biweekly; other than that, nice service so far. Update: was to ld there were no monthly options since I'm paid biweekly.

We do have the option of monthly payments! You just need to call in and ask to have your payment schedule reworked to do the monthly payment option. We would love to help you out! Call 844-707-7300 Edit: We do make exceptions to do monthly payment options, you must call in and specifically request to have your payment options changed. We typically do bi-weekly payments because its easier on most peoples cash flow to go along with their pay checks. The number to call is 844-707-7300

Kinda high on interest rates, but no penalties for early payoff. I'm glad they were there

My recent experience with 60month was similar to another poster I noticed when reading the reviews. Except he only gave them 1 star; I think in my case 2 stars is reasonable. I was referred to 60month through a LendingTree inquiry. Frankly, I was not going to even try them, but I guess they also got the referral through LT and they were immediately texting and emailing me rather frequently. Note that I also had a few other recommends from LT, including one place I’d done business with before. Anyway, I finally decided to go through the process with 60M. Got the typical, though somewhat misleading, “Application is Approved” notification a few times. I’ve been around a bit, I know that doesn’t necessarily mean the “loan” itself is approved, but I still do consider the phrase misleading...I mean, what exactly does “application is approved” mean anyway? The application is for a LOAN for heaven sake! In any event, early on that was a negative for me; whenever I see such a term from a lender I usually figure they are potentially a bit shady in their practices to one extreme or another. Then I submitted my checking account info for three months. Thought that was odd. I’ve taken out my share of loans, and never had to do that before. Few days later I get a call from Vip in the underwriting dept for 60Month. He noted that my debt/income was a high, which I agreed with—purpose of seeking a loan was to consolidate a few credit cards and a very high interest loan I already have. Paying off the high interest loan was going to save me more than double the initially proposed payment to 60M. Well, old Vip asked about a few other payments, then practically hung up on me, and sure enough, a few hours later I got the email saying they were unable to give me a loan. So, bunch of wasted time! I’m not upset over being turned down, given my overall credit score (which I gave to their people very early in the process), and debt/income (which is why me score is mid-600’s), I get turned down by some places and not by others. My problem was that they wasted my time and I think, like other places, they should have been able to tell me no much earlier in the process. Also, why even have a phone call with Vip? Was kinda obvious he had already made up his mind. Would it have made a difference if I’d lied to him, told him “oh, no, that payment the last 3 months is over now”...? In conclusion, my experience was a waste of time, and Vip seemed a bit condescending; your experience may be just fine. If you are a little high on debt/income ratio you may want to go somewhere else. UPDATE: I read the reply by 60Min. It is all fine and dandy, but why not be totally transparent and right up front? Just go with “ application complete” rather than the term “approved?”. And right up front with the steps... application and then checking review, along with up front postings of debt/ income ratio etc being a potential deal- killer?

Hi T Emery, I'm sorry that you had such a negative experience with 60monthloans, Inc. Thank you for your feedback, it helps us become a better company and correct some errors that we may be making in our loan application process and customer service. I can see how seeing the email of "application is approved" can be misleading. We have two parts to our application process The application and the Bank Statement Review. When you pass the application it allows you to go to the second portion of Bank Statement Review. So when you receive the email with "application is approved" that means you passed the first part of our application process. We are currently looking into better wording to describe that you have made it to the next portion of our application process to avoid the confusion you and others experience. The reason we do a Bank Statement review and look at the debt to income ratio is to make sure that we are being responsible lenders to you and not lend to you if it will cause your debt to income ratio to become "too high". We are an unsecured loan, so once we lend to you, we have no control over how you decide to use the money, you could use it to pay off debt or not. Our underwriters have to make the difficult call to lend or not when a debt to income ratio is high. We are sorry that we were not able to help you out with your lending needs at this time!
