Project Management Training InstituteReviews of 4pmti.com

Great instructor lead training course that covered all PMP topics. The training was tailored to practical applications of the subject material which is the focus of the exam. The tools provided on the PMTI site are great to deep dive any areas of focus. PMTI prepared me and I was able to easily pass the exam, on my first attempt.

The training materials were very helpful for exam preparation. The staff is very responsive and I appreciate their communication with me.

Elvis was an incredible instructor who explained the material clearly and was able to answer all of my questions about the practice questions. In reading the books prior to the course, I did not feel I had a good understanding of the material, but Elvis clarified all of the material and the application to the exam. PMTI also made the application process very clear and with the resume review ensured that my application was approved upon initial submission. Though the time commitment was significant to watch the preparation videos in addition to the days of classes, PMTI's course was definitely the most streamlined way to prepare for the PMP exam.

Coming from a 'non-project management' background the bootcamp left me feeling like a deer in headlights! So much information. (Of course that is what bootcamps are for) The class was fine. PMTI did what they said they would do and that is provide all of the information needed. It was your basic, 'Death by Powerpoint"! However, I am an experiencial learner. I beleive; what would have been very beneficial to me (and the 6 other team members who took the bootcamp) was to spend some time putting those 4 days of powerpoints and data overload into practice. Make all of that data mean something and show me how the 600 plus slides are put into reality. Show me what a Project charter actually looks like and how that is developed, or a team charter. Give me a practical example of a quality matrix. Thankfully our instructor added another 100 slides for our class to review that showed some of the subjects in more, understandable detail. Oh...and put a table of contents or index in the blue book! It took too much time to find specific topics in the blue book, so I rarely used it for studying. Again , this was a bootcamp and my team came with little formal project Management experience. We have already benefited from the material we have learned. However, memorizing words and definitions from a slide deck, was not enough to pass the test. I beleive it would have been helpful to participate in a sample project to see how 600+ slides come together to form a project.

The boot camp was extremely helpful and instrumental in getting you ready to pass the PMP exam.

The responsiveness of the boot camp teacher was great.

I was provided with the material needed to prepare for the PMP exam. Support team over communicated and set expectations of the course. The Instructor was very detailed when teaching the material to the class and answered ALL of my questions to make sure I understand the topics. I passed my exam the following week by studying the material taught and reviewing the practice questions from the course. I would recommend this course as it has helped me tremendously in being success for PMP certification.

Great course and Elvis was an amazing instructor. This course will let you pass the exam at the end and here's how I did it: o Set aside time to really listen: In other words leave work behind and “get in the moment” no distractions take notes. (I’m a minimal note taker but more of a listen and learn) o 2 – 25 question tests a day after each lesson were valuable and the Q&A after is great. o Partake in the Q&A with class and instructor ask the question why this answer over my wrong answer. o The biggest gain from this course was the 4 simulation tests– PMP like 180 question tests that come with it. o Took them all scoring 75%, 77%, 83%, and 72%. o Really dive into the misses… WHY DID I MISS… And Understand the process around the WHY. o I would have passed the test on the day after the bootcamp, I think. I had taken one of the 4 simulation tests after class one night and scored the 77%. Since I screwed up my test date, I took the rest of them which I think was a HUGE HELP. o Recommend 3 days maybe after the bootcamp to take the tests to go through and DO all the tests with understanding!! o You will pass the PMP with this course with the questions if you understand the WHY. These questions were the most similar for the test…
