Deceptive marketing and poor quality products. I purchased two of their knives after a good online review that referred to them as German Steel and Japanese and found them to be of poor quality and Chinese made. No where on their website or the packaging do they show the manufacturing origin. Terrible Customer service and overpriced. Go somewhere else

This is a sneaky subscription with auto-renew that is difficult to cancel. Thank goodness my credit card expired so I was able to catch it and cancel before it was charged!

Based on an email offer from Milk street for their latest edition of cookbook (2017-2024), I ordered for a copy of the book in Aug.2023. The pre-order offer was a 40% discount on the price of the book+15$ store credit to be used for any item on their online store. I finally received the book around the beginning of Dec.2023. I never received the 15$ store credit. Even after multiple phone calls and emails, I have not been able to resolve this problem.

We ordered the cookbook for a Christmas present on 11/20/23. It is now 12/18/23 and still no cookbook. Customer service on the phone was useless. The tracking nos. supplied with the shipping confirmation received on 12/14/23 email state that no label has been created. Really not pleased.

I loved this magazine when I used to receive it several years ago. I have long since cancelled my subscription and haven't received the magazine in several years. Recently out of nowhere there was an unauthorized and random $50 charge from Milk Street Magazine on my credit card. I emailed Milk Street Magazine customer service and received no response. SHADY. Thank goodness for my credit card's buyer protection. I highly recommend NOT giving this company your personal information.

Received a Kitchin-tan knife for a gift last December and the handle is cracking and falling apart by September. When contacted, Milk street said "sorry you bought it too long ago for us to help, good luck" Buyer beware they don't stand behind their products.
