Hi Pamela, thank you for ordering from us again and for your question. Our lemons are not coated, waxed, or treated. They are picked fresh and shipped the same day they are harvested. Natural citrus aroma can vary from harvest to harvest depending on the season, temperature, and transit conditions. We appreciate you asking, and we are glad to clarify that these are still fresh, untreated lemons from our orchard.

Unfortunately, today’s reality is that shipping costs are high, as are the costs of growing fruit in California, especially organic, unwaxed fruit. We wish we could offer it at a lower cost, but this is the reality of growing and shipping fresh fruit on a small scale. We appreciate your order and are glad the quality came through.

Leti, Thank you for contacting us right away and sending the photos. We carefully inspect our avocados before they leave our facility, and your order was shipped in excellent condition. From the photos, it looks like the fruit was affected by extreme heat during transit, which can sometimes cause firm avocados to soften unevenly and fail to ripen properly. We understand how disappointing that is and we promptly issued a full refund. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
