Are there any real women on Travel Mates looking for companions? As soon as you register you start getting scam messages purporting to be from women keen to meet you and some even volunteer to pay all expenses of travelling together. How believable is that.

Querido miembro.

It is supposed to be a place where you can meet people. However, after you create your account, they start flooding your mailbox with messages from fake accounts, not real people. For every message you will want to read or send they will prompt you to pay $17, while you're thinking you communicate with real people.
Response from Your Travel MatesMay 18, 2023
Dear Member. We do our utmost to ensure you are fully protected on our website and we understand that there may be a small minority of our members that are here for the wrong reasons however, we try to keep this number as low as possible and also, minimize the risk for our clients to these members by offering a credit refund through our anti-scam policy. In order to process this complaint, we need to first have any supporting material you have that we can submit to the verification team: *Id's of members *Screenshots *Time and date of correspondence *Any further evidence that the profiles are dishonest. We take such things seriously and looking forward to your email at [email protected]

The biggest red flag is that nobody wanted to exchange contact information outside the website meaning that they would rather you continue spending money to talk to them on the website. Don't waste your time or money on this obvious scam. They just want you to spend your money

Dear Member There are two ways to share phone number or e-mail on our site: 1) If the member has a button Choose Presents on the member's page, you can send a gift and attach contact details in the message that comes along 2) If the member doesn't have the first option you can exchange contact via video chat. Video chat has microphone support. You may also simply show your email and phone number on a piece of paper in front of the camera.
