Nothing to do with youcaring but our youcaring campaign has received $0. We have added videos as the youcaring emails suggest and promoted on social media. If nothing changes when our non profit website is ready to launch we will delete the youcaring campaign.

I would use it again because of not charging and ease of setting up. I woukd like more user friendliness on the donor side. I had many donors who were unabke to donate.

I was crowd funding for a friend with breast cancer. People wanted to donate so I made a youcaring site. I kept getting feed back from people who donated that they had to make a donation on top of thier donation. turns out youcaring put an automatic extra donation on top of the amount selected to donate. They said it was to help fund the site. My issue is that they already take 2.9% and a $.30 per transaction fee. If you worked really hard you could get the extra donation off your total but most people thought it was required and it felt very dubious to me.

Hi Kelsey, Thank you so much for taking the time to review YouCaring.com. The 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction is a fee taken out by your payment processor (WePay or PayPal). This is not a YouCaring fee and unfortunately is unavoidable. Unlike other crowdfunding platforms, we don't charge a platform fee. That means, between 5-10% more money stays in your account! However, since we don't charge a platform fee, we do ask donors for an optional contribution to help us sustain our operating costs. This is completely optional and the amount can be edited '0' if the donor wishes. Although this site is "free to use" the company they go through is WePay and they charge almost 3%. That is not clearly noted before you sign up and start taking money for donations. WePay also will deduct from your linked account for any discrepancies without your permission. This is currently a $200 problem I am having with them and the only way to contact anyone is by email. No phone number! I do however like how simple the website is, and very user friendly to maintain. Overall, I don't think I would use this site again.
