I used YouCaring to set up a fundraiser for my best friend who was entering a clinical trial with the hope it would treat her cancer. The funds raised helped a great deal to reduce her stress about the financial worries associated with all of her medical expenses. Giving was extraordinarily easy for people, and all we had to pay out of donations was standard credit card processing fees.

From the easy set up to making it easy to update, my YouCaring experience was very good. We had some issues when the recipient was not able to access the funds through Paypal due to her location, and Youcaring helped with some support to ultimately get her the funds. It was an excellent platform and I would use it again if there was a need.

I suspect the vast majority of people using this fundraising platform are already going through immense pain and stress due to the situation of a loved one. The thought of even asking people to help is one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life. And then...when I finally decided to take that leap...the overwhelm of HOW to go about doing it and the time that would be involved...you know...the "hassle factor". Well I'm telling you, YouCaring made it as easy as was possible and really made me feel supported and encouraged during the process. Truly. As it is the financial burden we were put through nearly wiped us out, but were it not for the money we raised through our campaign on YouCaring we would have been bankrupted. Seriously. I HIGHLY recommend YouCaring should you find yourself in a similar situation.
