This car rental is a total scamming agency that charged me $60 a day for their car insurance, even though I had excellent car insurance with my Washington State Allstate insurance. Allstate covered me 300,000 liability per person. This agency asked for 500,000 liability per person. They wouldn’t allow me to up my Allstate coverage once I walked in their door. Their required insurance was more than double the rental price. They returned only $200 out of a $500 deposit . It doesn’t even deserve a one star rating. They are terrible!

Not even 1 star... This company needs to be shut down.. IMMEDIATELY... I rented a car for a week to see the birth of my grand baby out in The Springs.. I go to pick up the car and the FRAUD IS REAL.... They want to see the proof of your FULL COVERAGE insurance. If not it a $40 extra charge on top of the $500 NON REFUNDED security deposit( some how i only received $222 back). I called my credit union and put a dispute on them and I will be call the airport and anybody else to let them know how it making the entire airport look.. Then after I'm on the phone with the guy and asking him about the charge.. bc my original week was 122. and some how the extra day was $287... So once I asked for corporate number he tells me .. We manage our own car lot... I saidddd yesssss I see.. A Fraudulent one.. then he hung up in my face... So now my credit union has put in a report about them.... I'm disgusted for even staying with them I should've followed the other 4 families back to the airport to another company... The black guy a the counter that bribe me to give him a good review for the FREE ($61 hidden charge) upgrade don't worry GOD DONT LIKE UGLY.... I was never giving nor email my contract.. but thank God I do online banking... there's so much I want to say but STAY AWAY FROM THEM....

NEVER EVER AGAIN.- York is the worst rental company. I had my worst experience ever with this rental company.  We arrived at Denver Airport and wait over an hour for York shuttle, but he never showed up. We called them but they didn't answer their phone. We ended up taking a different shuttle from a different rental company. They dropped us off nearby, but we still had to walk a bit to the York office wich was inconvenient. I booked through Priceline as it was the best price option. But don't be fooled, the price is cheap for a reasons and once you are there they will just digging for ways to get more money out of you. Initially, they wanted to charge me an extra $297.00 for insurance. I was covered by my personal insurance and I also had damage coverage through my Mastercard. So I declined their insurance offer. They refused to proceed. It took me 2.5 hours of hard negotiations with them and finally they lowered to $145.00. In conclusion, they know how to trap and make money later. I spent more time in their office than on my flight from Seattle to Denver. I had my two kids with me and York office is in the middle of nowhere, about 15 min ride from the airport, otherwise, if I was by myself, most likely I would walk away and rent from a different company.

I was asked for declaration of insurance and then they said I needed additional coverage and proceeded to charge me 30 dollars daily for additional coverage. When I got to my hotel I called my insurance and adjuster coverage to meet the requirements that York rental needed. I called York to let them know I had the coverage and for the remaining rental days would like refund. They said No, that I signed a contact with them. I then asked for my policy and declaration for the insurance that I paid 30 additional dollars for, and they hung up on me. I called Priceline and explained all of this, they did not help and said I should of bought the insurance thru them.

I made a car rental reservation through Priceline for York Rentals in Orlando on October 31, 2024. In addition to the agreed-upon price, York charged me an extra $85 fee, even after I provided my personal auto insurance. They also added a $500 deposit (not just a hold), which still has not been refunded. Since my check-out on November 2, 2024, I have called, texted, and emailed daily, but there has been no response. I wouldn’t recommend York to my worst enemy. I now hope either Priceline or York Rentais are going to resolve this as urgently as possible.

They charged a $500 "holding fee" and never refunded as they promised. I left 4 voice mails and sent 6 emails and rec'd one terse "wait a week for the refund" email in reply...it's now been a week and the money has not been refunded. Avoid York Car Rental unless you're in the market for never-ending ice-cream headache.

I used Priceline for a car rental in Houston. We got York. I called the phone number 45 minutes after guessing a time of pickup. It took 15 minutes before someone answered. York said they gave my car away because I was a no show. He said they wait an hour which isn't true they are to wait 2 hours. He said they didn't have any more cars. They are still holding on to the money over a week later

This was the worst rental car experience I've had in over 20 years of frequent rentals. Initially, they demanded a declaration page from my insurance and insisted on commercial-level coverage for a standard sedan. Despite providing proof of substantial coverage (over $500,000 per person), they rejected my insurance provider and forced me to purchase their insurance. The entire process felt like a scam. The car was also problematic; it had a low air pressure warning as soon as we received it. Despite assurances from the staff that it was "fine" and had been that way for a while, the tire went flat within 20 minutes of driving. When we contacted York for assistance, they were unhelpful and claimed no one was available to help. Attempts to escalate the issue resulted in being hung up on by their team. The customer service was extremely disappointing. I cannot recommend this company.
