I booked this from priceline.com but very poor service. Customer service never picked up.. couldn't checked in on-line.. If you want to use your insurance, they asked to have maximum $250 deductible for collission which is very hard to get nowdays. Luckily, I had that but then they declined unless I pad $50+ per day as addl charges if I use my own insurance. Very frustrated as wasted 2+ hrs and no car ! Beware and don't book it if youfind provider is York!

I wish I could give this scam 0 stars. We booked a car rental and when we arrived at the address the person there said they did not exist. DO NOT BOOK

We rented in Tampa, Fl airport. They charged close to $900 without us knowing. We found out through our card statement. They have voice mail so there is “nobody” to answer your questions. Another excuse they can use is they changed ownership. A new owner of any real business inherits all. They are into fraudulent practices. File with police or Attorney General. I am still waiting for them to tell me why they made such charges. Stay away from this Mickey Mouse “car rental”.

Pick up and return process was a big pain. Talking about that return process with a customer after I returned my car and waiting for the shuttle to drop us at the airport, a female employee heard us talking and she came furious saying because I’m talking ‘bad’ about their company, they will not give us a ride in the shuttle to the airport and left us there myself and my wife to figure out how to go back to the airport. I will never rent from this company again.

Why and how are you still trading! You ripped us off! After dropping our hire car off we recorded you telling us you were happy with the car and we would not have any more charges. A month later you have charged our card 523 uk pounds! I now have the hassle to claim back from my bank! York, I come to USA a lot! I will be back and this will not be the last you hear from me. I hire a lot of cars and I have never experienced anything like this. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY On top of all this they gave me an old knackered car, that had bald tyres! You think you are getting a cheap deal! You aren’t- stick with the big companies you know!

I rented a car from York Car Rental thru a third party in Orlando Fl. Do not use York Car Rental in Orlando Fla or anywhere else York Car Rental is. They charge extra for seniors, insurance because your coverage is not enough and will charge for tolls and not provide proof or receipts. I was vacationing in Orlando Fla and I drove on the roads without tolls. I receive a charge for $180.00 stating that I acquired toll charges, without proof or receipts. When I called to inquire they would hangup, called back went to voice mail, no response to texts or emails. The web site listed hours 6:30am decal on door 7:00am they did not open until 8:20am. Door decal states they take American Express when I went to pay they do not accept American Express. The staff is not friendly at all, very rude, not responsive and can care less. All they want is to charge extra. York Car Rental is the worst car rental company to deal with stay away.

The company is a scammer and very deceptive

This company operates on a fringe model.... no in person support, no phone support and cars that have been rode hard and not maintained. Any "savings" is perceived, because you will spend more time chasing deposit refunds and dealing with incompetency than your time and money is worth. I'm at day 31 - and have not received my refund - with no one that I can call and speak to in person.
