Scammy! Courses are super awful, bad instructors videos, errors in reading material!
They make you go through hours of it, and then not give you the certificate or respond back to the emails.

If I could gives less I would
If I could gives less star I would. After i finished passed and submitted my course, did not hear back. Emailed upteen times to no avail!
Read their Facebook reviews similar story to mine.

I have already contacted you via that email! It just gives an automated reply and generates a ticket number... and no body really responds. Also have left a review on Facebook etc
Better Business Bureau and Yoga Alliance are next. Honestly I only enrolled because your org was Yoga Alliance affiliated. I do think they should remove you from their registry, if they themselves have any standards. And when that happens, it wouldn't be a waste of time but Karma.
Also have screen capture of your final quiz with errors! even though I did pass it. I would email that to them too, to show how shoddy your online course is.

Scammers
I purchased several courses which of 1. I never received a certificate off after finishing 2. asked for a refund for a course purchased as the quality was incredibly low: the course content was worse than things that can be found on youtube these days. It was impossible to understand the teacher due to poor sound and heavy accent. the Costumer service is not replying to questions and questions of these kinds are posted in their facebook groups don't get posted. Yogamu's business model is based on selling volume targeting western students, paying low Indian wages to their teachers. They don't really seem to care about quality or their students
Edit 3 september:
1. You are selective in publishing posts on your facebook group. I have sent posts several times after your 24/7 team is not available neither on the email address provided.
2.What more details would do you want if already mentioned some of your courses are of poor quality in terms of content plus no possible way of understanding whatever the teacher is talking about. I already sent several emails about this with a refund request. The question is why you are not replying to these emails??
3. It is not unusual people not getting their certification. I have screenshots of the many complaints of other people on social media.
Why is your 24/7 support still to this date not replying on any messages?

Dear Der,
We sincerely apologize for the experience you’ve had. Our goal is to make authentic yoga education accessible to everyone, and we’re committed to supporting our students at every step. We offer daily live classes where you can interact directly with our teachers, and our support team is available 24/7 in our Facebook group.
We understand you had difficulty understanding a teacher due to their accent. We would love to hear more details to assist you better. As an Indian school located in Rishikesh, where yoga originated, we strive to maintain authenticity, which includes having teachers with various cultural backgrounds. To help with understanding, subtitles might be a helpful option.
Regarding your certificate, it’s very unusual for someone not to receive one after completing a course. Please reach out to us directly, and we will ensure this is resolved promptly. We appreciate your feedback and are always looking to improve. Mistakes happen, but we are dedicated to living the principles of yoga and making our offerings affordable and accessible to all.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are here to help you.
Warm regards,
The Yogamu Team

Don't bother
Bought a couple courses from them. The teachers are clearly knowledgeable and passionate about what they are teaching. The way the school is run, however, is a completely different discussion.
For larger programs like Ayurveda or Yoga Master, little to no guidance on where to start or a recommended progression through the course is given. There is no outline or other information to give you an understanding of what you need to work through in order to complete your studies. I asked for all of this nearly a year ago and have gotten zero response.
Additionally, the accessibility for the courses is awful. Some are all text based, some are video... There is zero consistency, and if you have any disability or a different learning style, good luck.
Instead of taking the time to address these issues and improve the courses for current students, the owner of Yogamu is cranking out new programs. Definitely wish I was not past the point I could ask for a refund because at this point I don't know how I can continue with my learning. Feels more like a money grab than an intentionally built yoga school.

Absolutely scammed by this company
Absolutely scammed by this company. All I hear from them are offers to buy more courses, etc but no response to my inquiries about a refund for the product I purchased and was wrongfully misled. Once I was in contact with someone he told me he had to go and never refunded my order or got back to me.
California phone number, but I called around 12:30 pm PST and the man said he couldn’t talk because his pregnant wife was sleeping as it was 1 am his time! — deceptive!
No customer service or response and in never even got the product/outcome I paid hundreds of dollars for. Don’t do it!

Dear Kristi Leonard,
We deeply regret to hear about your experience and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. Our goal is always to provide exceptional service and support to our students.
We understand your frustration regarding the refund and the difficulties you faced in reaching our customer service. This is certainly not the standard of service we aim to provide. We are currently investigating the situation to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.

Please contact us directly so we can resolve this matter as swiftly as possible and ensure you receive the assistance and product you deserve.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We value your feedback and are committed to improving our services.

Do NOT purchase courses from these ripoffs
I purchased a course bundle in November 2023, and never got access to the courses. I sent multiple emails and tried calling and leaving messages repeatedly, and they ignored every single one of my attempts to contact them for almost 4 months.
I finally got a hold of someone at the end of February of 2024 who had the audacity to tell me he was out having dinner with his family at a restaurant and wasn’t going to solve the issue for me.
It would still be a couple more weeks before they finally gave me a refund, but it was only a partial refund, which they justified by giving me access to one of the courses at that time, the end of February 2024, after I’d been trying to reach these scammers for almost 4 months, and they justified the partial refund saying that I now had access to the one course they just finally added to my dashboard.
They’re unprofessional, the customer service is horrific, and they’re scammers.

We are sorry to hear about your experience and apologize for any frustration this may have caused. We strive to provide excellent service and support to all our students and regret that we fell short in your case.
Regarding your purchase, we did attempt to reach you via Facebook and it took some time to establish communication. When we finally connected, our team member was at dinner with his family and offered to call you back immediately after. We apologize if this came across as unprofessional.
We understand your frustration with the delay in resolving your issue and the partial refund. Our intention was to ensure you had access to the course content while we processed your refund. We aim to be transparent and fair in our dealings, and we regret that this situation led to a negative experience for you.
Your feedback is valuable to us as it helps us improve our services. We apologize once again and appreciate your understanding.

The customer support is criminal
The customer support is criminal. I was one of the original members of this company when they first opened during Covid shutdowns. I was promised access to all other courses as they were rolled out in the future. I have not been able to access courses despite my many, many emails. I sent them probably the 30th email asking for access once again. They emailed back asking for my receipt. Are you kidding me? I’m supposed to have that after4 years? You can’t find me in your system. I have my certificate from your yoga school, so shouldn’t you be able to find me? It’s very fraudulent behavior. You talk about the yamas and niyamas in your training. Why don’t you walk the walk and not just talk the talk.
