Avoid their products
They do not allow customers to adjust their fan speed curves, not with official amd software, or fan control. The speed curves they force you to use are very fast and loud, probably because lawyers told them to do that to make sure the card wouldn't overheat, when there are many ways that it is already protected from doing that, and many more possible which do not interfere with the customers ear holes. Therefore the only way to have an acceptable situation is to unplug the fans from the card and rewire the plug to be a normal mobo fan header and control it like a chassis fan. Every customer would rather not have to do that and just buy a card from someone else. Also if you want to take the fan shroud off, you have to take apart the whole graphics card. Potentially because they were trying to prevent customers voiding their warranty. This should be every customers right to do and shouldn't create any legal liability concerns for XFX because what happens due to a warranty being voided is the fault of the person who voided it. Avoid this companies products, they don't think of the customer in their design decisions.
