I signed up for the FREE trial to see if it was worth the money. My transaction was declined due to insufficient funds. Why were they trying to take money if they say they wont charge till after 7 days are up? I tried to read all fine print and didnt see anything about that, i didnt see about 7 searches ethier.
So glad i was declined! I live on a fixed income. I cant afford loosing 40 right now.
Your better off reading the reviews more so than thier fine print! Then u will know what the deal is.

Inaccurate Trial Rate Terms
Beware - Worthpoint says you have a 7 day free trial period to test our the site, but in all reality, if you use the service during that time, they charge you. So when I discovered Worthpoint just recycles eBay sold prices on their site, I cancelled after 2 days. I was given a PARTIAL refund for using the service. That is just plain false advertising, and when I tried to speak with management about it, that person was "out of the office". Worthpoint should be named Worthless. Just use eBay and stay away from Worthless.

Andrea, we are sad to hear that you had a bad experience with our site. We do everything we can to provide the best care for our customers and value a great relationship with our members. There are a few things in your review that are inaccurate based on further research of what you have described. I will try to clarify in great detail so that users reviewing the site will have facts to go along with the opinions in this review.
1) Worthpoint clearly says you have "7 days or 7 price lookups" This is clearly marked here: https://www.worthpoint.com/product/index at the top of the screen. It is also listed in bold and red on the second page of the registration when you purchase a subscription to the worthopedia price guide. Our records show you purchased a worthopedia price guide subscription and you received the confirmation email that says the following: "If you have signed up for our price guide trial you have 7 lookups to use within 7 days for the selected product." This helps clear up a little confusion on your first point.
2) Second opinion that is incorrect: "Worthpoint just recycles eBay sold prices on their site" This is incorrect as you can filter out ebay data and there are millions of prices from our other data partners and auction houses. This can be found here: https://www.worthpoint.com/data-partners
You canceled after 2 days per your review but you also looked up 7 prices and you clicked the "Activate Now" button. This button pops up and clearly says "you will be charged." You clicked that button as recorded in our system here: "User has manually clicked to Activate now." You logged in twice after that and then finally canceled your account online but after you already used your 7 lookups. You actually went online to cancel 2 days after you used all your lookups and activated.
There is nothing false about our advertising. You actually spoke with one of our customer care leads and I see in your account that not only were you partially refunded as a courtesy but you also received prorated access for the rest of the month to explore Worthpoint.com free of charge. Trust pilot won't remove this inaccurate and has reduced the number of ways a legitimate business can report an inaccurate post, however, WorthPoint will always make sure to take care of our members and make sure future members aren't dissuaded by false statements from disgruntled members.

I had a terrible experience with Worthpoint
I had a terrible experience with Worthpoint. Their "free" trial consists of 7 clicks. Beyond that, you're charged ($19.99 a month in my case). I was charged for my first month on 1/31 and cancelled 2/28 but was still charged for the second month. Apparently, the policy says "two-days" prior to billing. After I cancelled, even though I had already been charged, I was blocked from using the site. I contacted their customer service department immediately and they have refused to refund my money or even give me another month to use their product. I would definitely NOT recommend this company. Terrible customer service

I had a Subscription for two years
I had a Subscription for two years. Someone from their accounting department called during the second year and asked to update my credit card information. I said no and said that I no longer wanted to renew my subscription. A month or so later they auto-renewed my membership and now will not refund the money. They have offered a partial refund and now even that did not go on my credit card. So I am out $199 for a service that I have not used and do not want any more. I keep getting the run around each time I call. Do not auto-renew if you use this website.

Low Value Service and Questionable Business Practices
I am not sure who the target customer is for this service. Given that it markets itself as the largest resource for researching and valuing antiques and collectibles, it would appear that they are targeting dealers and appraisers of antiques and collectibles. However, I can't imagine any experienced dealer or appraiser finding this site useful.
Worthpoint appears to be, for the most part, an amalgamator of eBay sales data for the past several years (though the most recent data still seems to be over a month old). They claim to have data from a limited number of auction houses, though no auction house results came up in any of my searches - despite the fact that other (free) auction data sites did have results for those same searches. In most (if not all) of my searches, I found all of the relevant information provided by worthpoint from other (free) online sources. In addition, I was able to find many more relevant results and more comprehensive data from other (again, free) auction data amalgamators, individual auction house websites, pinterest, and google.
While the site does have a marks library, it is not searchable in any meaningful way (at least not for the $20 a month subscription) and it provides no details on the marks (though there is an option to upgrade which presumably includes more info?).
So, at $20 a month (plus whatever the additional fees might be for the upgraded services), this service is overpriced by at least $19.
I won't detail my experiences with the unprofessional, rude and/or non-responsive customer service, as it seems that's been covered pretty extensively by other reviewers here (and this review is long enough!)
Finally, their business model, which requires customers to sign up for a paid service in order to receive a free trial, seems to rely on their customers failing to read the small print (and not realizing they need to cancel the paid service or incur automatic monthly paypal charges) and/or forgetting to cancel and/or just being too busy to pay attention. In general, I think that when any business requires customers to permit automatic payments in order to receive a free trial, it should really raise a red flag about the company and the service it provides. Whether it's a site that promises to match you with the best landscapers or provide you with the largest resource for researching antiques and collectibles, if the service has value, I think customers will happily purchase and pay for services when needed.

Bad Business practice
Charged my card for a service I did not use. Free seven day trial to see prices. Used the service to look up one price. Basically fraud, due to them making you put in your card for the "free trial." I will never use this service again.
