Just another cheap SCAM by cheap scammers. They claim this is a FREE online chess app. and then they make you give away your personal info and get a password. I got to play 3 games. The first game the opponent was AI or retarded and I trashed him in a few moves so he resigned; the second game the opponent out-classed me; the third game, another slow-witted person took too long to think when he was in check and had to concede or lose the queen.... and he would not make a move and refused my DRAAW offer so I resigned to move on to another game. Then it seemed I had used up my quota of FREE GAMES and had to upgrade to one of several levels of PRO. I am not a PRO and I do not give out my financial information to dishonest people. And I am not interested in taking a paid-for crash course in how to play chess like a master.

Don't download
When I play tournaments my time is running while the board does not show my opponent's move
It is clearly pay to win

Impossible to find a good online chess website.
EDIT: When a player loses, they can start another board without resigning. So you have to wait to the end. They are not disconnected, so, still playing! And they do it, don’t worry! And nobody from Worldchess seems to care.
EDIT : I downgrade my initial review. The last days I played some blitz, all I wanted is to enjoy playing. When you play a game, if not to have fun, so why ?
With a few games, 3 or 4 different people decided I desserve to make lose each 3 or 4 minutes of my life just because I found winning moves. And when you send a complaint, nothing is done "We couldn’t replicate the bug" automated message.
I think I’ll only play chess programs now.
A good online chess website seems to be impossible to find.
Let's start with the good on Worldchess.com : people do generally resign when their position is hopeless. There is a little less extreme competitive testosterone than on Chess.com or Lichess .
BUT :
For all the rest, those two websites are better.
- Moving the pieces is a terrible experience. You have to focus if you want to move your queen to the right square.
- Windows are popping up all over the place instead of a simple interface.
- Analysing a game is a mess. Sometimes you can't try a variation; you don't know why.
- There is no export as a PGN if you want to add it to your game database.
Finally, I think I prefer playing with my chess software better than online.
OW! Almost forgot. You still have players letting the clock tick to the last minute when they don't like losing. Tried to report once, took a couple of annoying minutes, showed evidence; they "couldn't reproduce the bug because I didn't show enough information". The guy had dozens of games where he lost on time, spending 3 minutes out of 5 on the last move in a clearly losing position!! Are chess players not supposed to be smart??

Many fake and AI users just to…
Many fake and AI users just to pretending to be crowded but it’s not. They ask for money to get reviews of your games and they never act against cheaters.

Google adds now block the screen
Google adds now block the screen making it so you can't clearly see the board. Recently there is a major uptick in adds such as the one mentioned trying to get the user to go pro.
It is also very hard to close the account and you have to submit a formal request which can take days. It seems you should be able to simply delete an account with out the hassle. Couple this with the intrusion of Google adds displayed in the middle of the screen, make it a poor experience. How are you to use a site with a Goggle add right in the middle of the page and no close button. I clicked on the x and another add pops up.

The screen of the app get frozen Disgraceful
Experience: Frozen Screen Exploits Ruining Bullet Games
I have been playing bullet chess on World Chess for some time now, and the experience has become genuinely unacceptable.
The core issue is simple but infuriating: when an opponent is clearly about to lose on time, the screen freezes. Every time. It is not a coincidence.
In bullet chess, fractions of a second matter. When the clock is ticking down and your opponent has mere tenths of a second left, the board suddenly locks up — and when it unfreezes, somehow they have survived. This has happened to me repeatedly, in patterns that are far too consistent to be random server lag.
There are only a few explanations, none of them acceptable: either the platform's infrastructure is so catastrophically poor that it cannot handle the very time-pressure situations that define bullet chess; or there are users exploiting some form of connection manipulation or script to deliberately stall the clock; or — and this is the most disturbing possibility — someone within the platform itself, whether a developer or a member of staff, is interfering with game integrity for reasons that defy rational explanation.
A legitimate chess platform has a fundamental obligation to ensure fair clock management. World Chess fails at this completely. I would urge anyone who takes bullet chess seriously to document these anomalies carefully, because what is happening on this website should not be dismissed as mere technical issues.
Until there is full transparency and accountability, I cannot recommend this platform to anyone.

This was supposed to be FIDE's official brand.
I bought two copies of their World Chess plastic chess set and I wound up doing a detailed video review on it and to summarise, these are the problems.
1. The plastic pieces are below FIDE's own regulation size, making them unsuitable for tournament play. The king height is 3.4 inches. Minimum king height for tournament play is 3.75 inches. Even their wooden studio set is like this. If they just got rid of the studio size altogether and made the plastic set the exact same size as the official set, they would've at least been suitable for tournament play.
2. The board is too small. Not only is it much smaller than regulation size, they're too small for their own pieces, making it hella clunky to use. Regulation board requires to have an overall size of 20 inches with 2 inch squares. A vinyl roll-up board would have been much more worthwhile.
3. The plastic is very fragile. One of the sets broke within the first few months of use. Some other material, or even some other form of plastic that is much more durable (reinforced plastic maybe?), would have been much more ideal.
4. This wasn't mentioned in the video itself, but the colours of the board blends in with the colours of the pieces, thus creating a camouflage effect against a player with no depth perception.
5. Both sets came with a rather busted box, dinged up on the insides with pieces coming in mere plastic baggies that came pretty much torn up.
6. I paid $90 for each set. That's an awful lot of money for a chess set that doesn't even meet regulation standards. The only two redeeming qualities of this set is that the top of the king is round just like the symbol itself and the set comes with extra queens.
7. One day in the rain (even in waterproof cases) and the felt falls right off. There is next to no felt on any of these pieces (humidity?).
8. The pieces are far too light. They are too easy to knock over. It would have been much more helpful if they were triple weighted.
