I am a freelance writer who submitted articles to World Atlas in July and August. They abruptly ended my contract and are now explicitly refusing to pay my baseline $55 invoice (plus revenue) for the draft I delivered under our agreement. Do not waste your time writing drafts for this company; they do not honor invoices for completed assignments.

I recently applied for some writing positions there. I have a Bachelor's in Geography and I spent several hours perfecting my application, and I sent them three high quality pieces I wrote for a Q&A site, and they didn't even give me a chance. So I really don't know what their standards are or who they're looking for, especially since I looked at their website and it looked like was made my an elementary school kid, who needed to do a short report on a country.
