It seemed like a combo of spell check and the free version of grammarly. I could have done this for free. Although, at least I know it had no errors when I got back.

The overall quality of the changes is not high, unlike the version modified by professionals

They actually introduced a lot of mistakes, missed errors or often just reworded things. For example it was clear that the whole section had to be written gender neutral instead the editor (Sarah B) assumed a random gender and revised it all. Probably will look somewhere else to see if I find a better service.

I submitted to Wordvice a manuscript on microbiology to be published on a specific scientific journal. The reviewer applied English possessive several time justifying as being concise. English possessive is not used in scientific writing.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We apologize for not meeting our standard of 100% language accuracy. A QA manager confirmed several issues and had your editor take another look at the completed file, which has been replaced accordingly. Thank you again, and please contact us directly if you experience any further issues.

It was pretty standard. I would've liked some insight on the transition between paragraphs and on how to end properly. The grammatical check and ambiguity reduction was great but that can be done using grammarly.

They were ok. I feel like the editor used Grammarly and didn't really provide any insightful comments/edits. They also made some phrasing sound worse than the original. Their service is extremely expensive and I've gotten much better feedback from other editing services that cost far less than Wordvice.

Thank you for your feedback, Noah. We are sorry to hear that you were not fully satisfied with our editing services. Two-Person editing is indeed a bit more expensive than standard editing, as two editors revise your work. And while the effectiveness of vocabulary terms and expressions can be subjective, our editors have years of experience editing these admissions documents and understand the content, tone, and constructions that work best in university admissions essays. Please contact us and we will try to find a way to make sure you are fully satisfied with your order. Many thanks!
