Nice start, but not really workable except for the most basic of freelance businesses
Moxie is better than most offerings of its type, but it has some shortcomings that I found to be hard to manage. There is no way to track document versions well. E-mail linking was not easy at all and I had to delete my connection to Google more than once and re-add before it would work. You need to add a token to every ad hoc email in order to insert your email signature, unless you only use email templates. The interface is very old fashioned looking. Just lots of little things that make it a time waster for me.

Thanks for the review, Todd (or Andrew as you put here).
We have so many questions for you! Looking at our data, you have signed up for a new workspace and subsequently canceled that workspace subscription 5 times since June of 2023! Why... what are you doing, we must know!!!
We actually have a running bet about how long after you sign up you will cancel with the same general dissastication message that you posted here.
Maybe you are with a competitor? Maybe it's just that you have a really short memory for which SaaS products you try out?
Either way, it doesn't sound like we are a good fit for you, and I wish the best of luck in your search for a CRM.

Many broken facets of the interface.
Many broken facets of the interface.
Their take on business and flow management is so highly opinionated, however they don't exactly know how to cater to service people. Many aspects of their dark mode are completely broken, making the interface difficult to use without opening Inspector to see tags and errors in the interface. Tasks disappear randomly from their management system, and their time tracking is extremely awkward. They integrate ALL leads in with regular clients, so you cannot have any sort of robust leads or outreach system. Form customizations are laughable at best and they render bad markup which violates ADA compliance. Emails will randomly send, including one test email I sent to a prospect.
Moxie promises so much more than it can capably deliver. If you don't care about your business' look/feel and will only be using a couple minor features of their service, it might be ok. But you'll likely run into broken features all over the place like I (and so many other reviewers) found.

Thanks for the review, Dustin. We do appreciate candid feedback and as a fully transparent company, we have nothing to hide. Clearly Moxie is not a good fit for your business, and that is just fine with us.
Hopefully the way you conduct yourself in your own business is significantly more professional (and a lot less rude) than the way you spoke to our support team over the weeks you were testing things out with Moxie.
Best of luck in your business.

After a year I don't trust their invoicing system
Updated Reply to Company: To be clear, I wasn't shown where the setting was; I already clicked the setting in the first place prior to sending the invoice. I then noticed I was charged the fee, so that's when I contacted support. I suggested going back into my settings history and reviewing that I did indeed click the setting to charge the client. I do feel this response is essentially putting this on me, rather than looking into what I'm saying and that's very disappointing. I was very careful, hence why it took a year to start using the invoicing function. This wasn't just about me being frustrated, our business lost money on this. If it was my mistake, it wouldn't make a difference to me, but this was not. I've used Wave since 2015 and have not had any issues, and was just downsizing the tools I use, which is why I wanted to transfer invoices to Moxie. Ultimately, while I don't appreciate this response, I do like Moxie, still think it's a great tool, but I don't believe negative criticism should be met with fingers pointing, this isn't a tech support call, I've been doing this since 1994, and am very thorough, this was not me not enabling the feature, it was the app not saving that change whether it was multiple windows open, or what, I don't know, but this should have worked.
My initial review below was based on using it for a week and I was very happy at the time. I've been using it for a year now, and now that I finally have the chance to use the invoicing function, I lost well over $150 to a client paying via credit card, even though I have a setting set for them to pay the fee. Contacted the company and they did fix it going forward, I suggested they even look at account settings history where they could see that I already set this. Ultimately it doesn't matter at this point, I lost the money, I can't ask my client to pay the fee at this point, just disappointed that this happened and I'm questioning the use of this app now.
I have only been using Moxie for a week but can already tell it's better than a CRM I was using for years. Ultimately, it seems to do what I want, is simple to use, and seems to have great support so far. For the record, I have only used this for a week, and I usually don't leave a review this soon, especially a good one, unless I feel the product or service has exceeded expectations. Needless to say, this has exceeded my expectations so far.

Thanks Brian for the note and sorry for your disappointment. While we didn't make a fix, but rather we explained where this was configured in your workspace, our support team is glad we could help going forward. If we could, we'd turn back the clock and get your settings configured correctly before the invoice was sent. As always, we're here for honesty and feedback and will help wherever we can.
