There are a few similar types of systems that aim to offer 'all in one' solutions for freelance entrepreneurs and small businesses - but in my recent tests of them all, Hectic became my weapon of choice! Why? Well interestingly it doesn't have the most features (yet) and there are a couple of features that I'd argue are missing and needed urgently (such as custom workflow set-up, and sales-brochure estimate builder). However, for the stuff the does have, the implementation is solid, well thought through, clearly presented and easy to use. The biggest thing that struck me about Hectic is the company - they're small, agile and transparent. They offer live chat support, and when there's a bug they fix it (in my experience they fixed it same-day!). And they even added a new feature request same-day. They feel like new kids on the block, but are smashing it, and I hope with the new features still yet to be added, they'll become the perfect choice for all freelancers looking to rocketpower their workflow potential and become free of admin!

As a solopreneur, I've tried many different apps and finally decided on Hectic. Others were either too complicated or didn't have enough features, and some were a bit pricey. Hectic is a perfect combination of useability and price for a small freelancer like me. The app is full of useful features all in one place, yet is easy to navigate and simple to use. It is great for both solo pros and team collaboration. Another big plus for me is it is the developers are responsive to questions, listen to user feedback and add helpful features to make the app even better.

I was skeptical at first because I've tried so many apps and there are a host of usability issues and they cost so much. I am a solopreneur that has a handful of clients and I like it that way. Hectic was probably the 12th software package I've tried in the last 3 years. What I love about it is that it was clearly created with Freelancers in mind. There are so many great features like Projects and Meetings with intake Forms. These are helpful features that you won't find bundled with invoicing software typically. Also, the support team is friendly. I asked if I could do something that was unique to my situation and because they were working on that feature, they included a small fix for me on the spot. Was not expecting that, but it's great that they listen to their customers and make changes that improve the experience.

Hectic rocks! I've been writing for clients since 1999. In 2010, I went full-time working from home. Over the years, I've used quite a few tools to manage my business affairs. Recently, I used ToDoist, Trello, and Google Docs/Sheets to keep clients, projects, and various notes in order. Over time, however, all the lists and Trello boards I created made my system overly cumbersome. My attention was becoming fractured day in and day out, leading to quick burnout. The moment I'd recover, I'd be burned out again. Then I found Hectic. Hectic does everything I need it to and more. It manages my projects, clients, all client documents, and notes, and it even has a pipeline feature for new prospects. What I really love about Hectic is that each project card has a timer built in. You can then run reports to see how efficient you've been with regards to time spent and money earned. There is even a financial feature to track expenses for tax time. And you can send invoices straight from the platform via Stripe. Truly awesome. Hectic has improved my efficiency, attention span, and writing endurance. I can focus on the work at hand instead of all the management duties in the background. Hectic is intuitive to use, and it's affordable. I didn’t hesitate to buy in after giving the platform a quick test drive. I highly recommend this platform if you're a freelancer seeking a client/project management system that allows you to focus on nothing else but the quality of your work.

Hectic is going places and I'm going with it! Hectic was referred to me by a client and I have tried many other similar platforms. I literally have moved and canceled so many accts and subscriptions because of being able to use one platform and have everything in one place with Hectic. Not to mention that the development team will PERSONALLY take the time to reach out to talk to you and ask you what you need and how to improve to help you! I have NEVER had an experienc such as I have had with hectic!

Hectic is a must have for freelancers. Its client management, project management, payment and contract management features make it easy to keep my freelance business organized and running smoothly. I use Hectic as a freelance writer. The only thing I would change is that there isn't a "per word" option for proposals and invoices, so invoices that include deliverables that are priced per word have to be calculated manually.

Hectic is a great tool that has allowed me to bring my task management, time-tracking, and invoicing under one roof (and get rid of a few other monthly services in the process). Customer service is superb too -- the team is extremely quick and knowledgeable. It seems there are new features every week too so there are good things to come.

Beyond that excellent support, Hectic has reached out for feedback in ways to best improve and develop various aspects of their service.
