Professional Opportunity, Unprofessional Communication
I was recruited and confirmed in writing to deliver an in-person leadership workshop for Wisdom Hub Global. After reviewing the materials and reserving the date, I asked for clarification about a statement made during recruitment that “all expenses” would be covered. I was then told that local transportation was not covered and that “expenses” referred to items such as food, workbooks, and certificates. The following day, I was informed that the client had put the workshop on hold and that I would be contacted when a new date was scheduled. I later learned that the workshop had not been put on hold and another trainer had been engaged to deliver it. Changing trainers is entirely within a company’s discretion. My concern is the lack of transparency in how that change was communicated after the engagement had already been confirmed. Based on this experience, trainers considering work with Wisdom Hub Global should make sure compensation, expenses, cancellation terms, and confirmation of the engagement are clearly documented in advance.

Thank you for sharing your feedback Edward. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and miscommunication. After reviewing the matter internally, we understand that there were two separate sessions for the same course scheduled on the same day. One client subsequently decided to put their session on hold, while the other session proceeded as planned. Unfortunately, this distinction was not clearly communicated to you, which understandably caused confusion. We sincerely apologize that our team did not communicate this clearly and transparently at the time. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will use this feedback to improve our communication with trainers, particularly regarding engagement confirmations, changes, and cancellations. We value the time and preparation our trainers invest in our programs and regret the misunderstanding in this instance.
