BUY THIS ANTENNA!!!!
I am 79 years old and pride myself for having a VERY high mechanical aptitude. I have been a CNC machinist, engine builder and trucker, so I have doe a LOT of REALLY cool things in my life! I alos palyed with C.B. radis when i was a kid, so i have pplayed around with different antennas. So I think I'm pretty well qualified t weite theis HONEST review. When I bought my house in 2013 (it's now 2026) I screwed around with Comcast, Dish Network and Direct TV, all of which are best classified as " thieves", because after toy enter into a contract with them the steal channels from you and increase your rate, 4 or 4 months late, so I set out to find a good antennas and, as they say CUT THE DAMN CORD!!!" First I tried q small "yagi"-style antenna with a rotator in it, but the rotator was junks because it didn't even have a brake in it!!! Then i tried a Higain ham rotator, but instead of using "worm" gears the used spur gears, like are in a manual transmission, so it was junk too!! ASee...... you have to have a DEGREE to be stupid. enough, to make crap like that!!! Well TODAY, my most trusted and recent antenna (a self-modified version of that cheap yagy that had the rotator) I finally had to try something else,. so I opened the box, containing my new Winegard MS666000D Elite 360 and set out to install it on my 38 foot tilting antenna mast that IK made 3 years ago out of some 2 inch, 1 1/32 inch and 1 inch black pipe. Davenort, Iowa and Rockford, Illinois are right ar 55 AIR miles from my house, so I already knew that I was pushing the stated capabilities of this FIXED, omni directional Winegard. After about 4 minutes or so, gojg tothe hardware store a couple tines and cutting the "'L' pipe into a straight pipe and getting everything mounted right, I cranked my winch back up, so the antenna was standing vertical......hooked up all of the wires and BINGO, I was getting 58 channels on mt Visio flat screen and I hop to NEVER have another TV antenna problem!! The ONLY reason I didn't give this 5 stars is it really aggravates me when a company like Winegard makes 4 or 5 different antennas, when they could make just ONE of them and stop ripping people off with their "not-so-good" models!!! And think about all of the money they could save if they did that!!!!! If I had my "druthers" I would have bought the "Pro" model, but I didn't know it existed!! If they would have been smart enough to do like I said and make ONE "GREAT", model that wouldn't have happened!!!!
