Profiteering and Exploitation!
So pissed at ourselves for being so stupid. I wonder if all of the people of these positive reviews actually knew what their interest rate was... We got what we thought was a quick "pay day loan". Under duress and sheer panic, I turned to this financial institution. My husband had suddenly lost his job and we were trying to keep our mortgage payment from bouncing causing a horrible chain effect in our bank account. I remember discussing with the service rep about making equal bi-weekly payments over 3 months to payback the loan!!! I then kept noticing that the bi-weekly payment kept being decucted. After finally tracking down the loan agreement, I discovered an interest rate of 566.82% interest and they have this loan laid out for 32 payments at 430.02 x 2= $860.04 per month. We made the cardinal sin of not reading the paperwork. Shame on us! But shame on this company for taking such monumental advantage of people and exploiting them in their times of need to make a profit. Let's be real, nobody in their right mind, with good credit or not being in a pretty desperate situation would ever come to this type of institution and be willing to pay this ungodly amount of interest. I never dreamed that this amount of interest rate was even a thing! Don't be a fool like we were....ask questions and read the paperwork. These companies and institutions are banking on many people NOT reading the paperwork or "fine print"on documents. Willow Lake Lending has already been paid their full loan principal plus interest but we are just screwed on the rest!! THIS IS PROFITEERING AT ITS FINEST!!! $13,763.15 Total...$11,763.15 profit on a $2,000 loan that's a heluva pay day!
