I decided to get a 12-month subscription and take advantage of their discount. Little did I know that I'm not getting ALL the member benefits BECAUSE I bought at a discount. No more free game (of their choice) per month; now that they're issuing 1 token per month for members that pay monthly, I'm not eligible. So I guess I'll cancel membership once it expires.

Used To Be So Much Better! Seems to be a theme on this board and probably related to Wild Tangent being sold last year....it used to be a good gaming platform that had its quirks but now it's just a cash machine for the new owners. If the options on how to rent/purchase/monthly fee games seem confusing, that is because they are deliberately! The monthly fee only covers the lousy games and they bilk you into buying the better games. The game "rental" is a carefully constructed scam because who actually will play a game for more than a 1-2 hours in a day? Or will actually finish a long game in 2 days? Retirees, I guess. Too bad, really, some of the games are pretty fun but I am through paying through the nose....
