Wilderness did a fantastic job of guiding us through a spectacular safari in Southern Africa. From the start at Toka Leya in Zambia where we had two highly qualified guides to introduce us to the Zambezi River and walk us around the Victoria Falls. From there we flew to Chitabe and Vumbura Plains camps. At all three camps the guides were exceptional allowing for safe, educational and exciting game drives each day. The camp staff at all three of the camps were exceptional. They provided for every need we could think of and we can’t wait to return. Thank you Wilderness for a trip of a lifetime.

Highly professional, passionate, organized group. We did three countries in 2 weeks and everyone was flawless. They helped us book the camps, organize the transfers and everything in between. I was also super impressed with their commitment to conservation and to the community as well as to being a local employer. Would definitely use them again and recommend to a friend.

We had an incredible time visiting 3 camps in Botswana in May 2026. The camps were amazing, but the staff were even better! Our guides, CJ (Wilderness Chitabe) was amazing, and we did not want to leave the camp, our CJ! Next, we flew to Wilderness Vumbura Plains where we were guided by Taps who exceeded our expectations. The whole staff at both of these camps were so thoughtful and we had an amazing time.

What a life moving experience! Every detail of our Journey in Zambia and Botswana was a memorable time. Our Wilderness escort "Thato " made sure of it! The guides, tented lodges and of course the safaris were all amazing. Can't wait to come back and visit another country in Africa!

I just came back a week ago from our wonderful trip to Namibia. It was 12 out of 10! Every transfer (thank you, John, especially!), every guide (thank you, Tabitha, especially!) every camp with its kind team (thank you, Sara, especially!) met and exceeded our expectations. My daughters and I had the most special time and would return next week, if we could ;) We felt safe on every flight with every pilot and enjoyed every minute. Thank you for making the trip possible at such short notice!

Our safari experience at Chitabe was absolutely unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible guide, CJ. From the moment we arrived, CJ’s passion for the bush, wildlife, and conservation was obvious. His knowledge of the animals, birdlife, and ecosystem was truly impressive, but what made him exceptional was his ability to turn every game drive into an adventure filled with excitement, humor, and unforgettable moments. CJ had an amazing instinct for tracking animals and always seemed to know exactly where to be at the right time. We saw incredible wildlife sightings that we never could have found on our own, including breathtaking close encounters that we’ll be talking about for years. He was patient, professional, and always made sure everyone in the vehicle had the best possible view and experience. What really set CJ apart was his personality. He made every day fun, engaging, and relaxed while still being incredibly attentive and detail-oriented. Whether sharing stories around the fire, answering endless questions, or teaching us about the smaller details of the bush that most people overlook, he made us appreciate Africa on a much deeper level. Chitabe itself is a spectacular camp, but guides like CJ are what make it truly world-class.

My daughter and I travelled to Tanzania for safari in March (followed by a few days for relaxation in Zanzibar). Our holiday was arranged by a wonderful travel agent in the UK (Yellow Zebra) and Wilderness looked after us throughout our time in Africa. From the time we exited the airport in Kilimanjaro to the time we left to come home, we experienced the very best of care and attention. The Wilderness staff who met us after our long journey were brilliant, and the lovely water bottle was such a lovely and useful gift. Our safari guide, Emmanuel James was just wonderful. He (and Clemence Mvungi) made our safari the best holiday experience we could have wished for. Emmanuels' love and obvious passion for the animals and his country of Tanzania shone through so brightly to us both. Fair to say we did not want the safari to end! Furthermore, we felt so safe and had 100% trust in Emmanuel from day one, which is quite an achievement on his part! He made us laugh and relax and taught us such a lot. He taught us to enjoy the moment too, something quite hard in modern British life. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Emmanuel. I am sure Clemence also valued his time learning from such a highly professional guide. The Wilderness liaison team were fantastic keeping us informed throughout the trip. This was an absolute Godsend in Zanzibar when we needed extra backup due to illness. Thankfully all resolved now, but this support was so very welcome and needed at the time. It is probably something you think you won't need, but all I can say is THANK YOU Wilderness for your brilliant organisation, super fun holiday, fantastic guides and extra care when we needed it!

We had the most incredible, once-in-a-lifetime holiday thanks to Tess and the team. From the moment we arrived in Cape Town to the end of our trip in South Africa, everything was seamless and beautifully organised. Tess’s planning was outstanding, and our guide Howard was exceptional—professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely great company throughout. The Mount Nelson Hotel was pure luxury, and our stay at Sabi Sabi exceeded all expectations. Even when I was unwell, the support and care we received were second to none. We felt completely looked after from start to finish. A truly unforgettable experience—we wouldn’t hesitate to book with Wilderness again. Highly recommend!
