I’m so glad I connected with White Collar Advice and Earning Freedom! Their insight, guidance and support has been invaluable. I only wish I’d contacted them sooner. I was nearing the sentencing phase before I reached out and would have benefited tremendously by connecting with them sooner. I relied upon my highly-respected criminal attorney to help me navigate and prepare; however, an attorneys responsibility is to provide legal representation and for most, that’s where their support ends. Expecting an attorney to advocate, help me personally navigate the crucial details of the criminal process and provide answers to detailed questions beyond the law, was and is unreasonable. Justin and Scott have not only provided ongoing input, they’ve been direct and realistic in setting my expectations. Michael’s experience has brought tremendous value as well. Without all of them, I would have been ill-prepared for sentencing and would, most certainly, not be prepared for the road ahead in prison and rebuilding life after prison. Although the U.S. Attorney asked for 27 months, I was sentenced to 18 months. Because of them, I've been able to prepare for life on the inside. I've defined goals with clear and attainable steps to achieve them. The videos, blogs and books provided through Prison Professors, White Collar Advice and Earning Freedom provide ongoing education and collaboration that are helpful at every stage of this overwhelming and emotionally exhausting phase of life. I’ve made some poor choices and face the consequences of those. I couldn’t ask for a better team of people to help me through the hardest time of my life. I’m eternally grateful. –Melinda B.

Lack of transparency within the organization provoked me to write this review. Allegedly, there have been several questions left unanswered regarding time sensitive issues. “If”there is a breach in contract what happens? From my understanding, this firm is hired to provide services; mitigation at the forefront.

Hi Mike! Again, I can’t thank you and your team enough! Your are so right about advocating for yourself. I felt so much peace the night before sentencing, the calmness that came from knowing I had done all that I could to the best of my ability at this stage. I had thoroughly prepared and utilized the array of uniquely effective tools that your team provided to overcome one of the biggest challenges of my life. I had left nothing behind! I will never forget scouring youtube for any help as I was desperate with my case, facing a cumulative 50 years with 2 felonies and 5 misdemeanors. The Federal prosecutors currently have 100 percent conviction rate with cases such as mine. I felt desperate and alone, and plead to a felony that I wasn’t sure I deserved. From the moment I spoke to Scott, for the first time during this whole ordeal, I felt understood and finally in a safe place. I’m glad he and I had that conversation that led me to feel that Prison Professors was the right decision for me! That first call from you and Justin was so reassuring and inspiring. It confirmed that the good works you were doing had been changing the outcomes of people like me. Reading your book encouraged me and the webinars educated and supported me. I knew that I regretted my actions and had admitted my culpability in what I plead to. But I was terrified of leaving my two special needs children for any extended length of time, which would do irreparable damage to them. And then I saw your earnest videos and thought wow, this guy Mike seems like he is helping people out of the goodness of his heart. I sensed no pretense or for profit scheme, just a kind brilliant man giving free advice on the internet to help his fellow convicts!  I watched as many videos as I could until I decided I wanted to actually hire your team and felt like any money I paid would be paid back one hundred fold! And I was right! Your personal time and attention and the skill of your team is unmatched by what any lawyer fees could have bought me! My lawyer did his job and with your help I did mine. I had no idea that my attorney would be so adamantly against utilizing the assistance and techniques that your team provided. But when he failed to recognize their worth, your team and even you yourself took time out of your overwhelmingly busy lives to rally behind me and provide me with the utmost guidance! Words can not really express my gratitude! My sentencing was all over the map and even the press was publishing absolutely awfully twisted tales! But thanks to the carefully crafted letters from my community, the painstakingly eloquent narrative facilitated by the masterful Brad and the absolutely brilliant statement to the judge Brad and you helped me craft, I was granted probably the lowest sentence realistically possible for my crime. I can not say enough about Brad’s kind, gentle wisdom. At sentencing the judge saw me, in my own voice as not just another criminal standing before him but as the mother, the wife, the community leader, the survivor, the very human and flawed woman who was not the sum total of her crime. The judge even spoke so highly of the letters, that moved him. He appreciated the community support that was so well expressed in my letters and the picture that was painted in the sentencing memo, based largely on my narrative, that was in stark contrast to the prosecutors and probation officer’s narrative. Fallowing my statement, that honestly may have moved him to tears, the judge gave me a genuinely encouraging pep talk proving he had intently listened to every word. I in no way could have achieved this miracle by myself! I would encourage anyone in such dire circumstance to join your webinars, read your books and hire your team if at all possible! If I have learned anything from you is that you must work for yourself like your life depends on it, because it does. All of the resources provided free and paid for combined are what garnered my victory here! And yes, I feel victorious! There is no way I would have gotten the sentence I did with out your team’s support! In the end, I was facing two years, and I left that courtroom with 10 days prison, 3 months home detention and 2 years probation. There was huge public pressure on this court to give me what the prosecutor was asking for, so for the judge to go against the grain and actually hand down a fair and thoughtful sentence was a miracle. Your team facilitated that miracle! I learned so many lessons from this experience but most of all I learned to never stop advocating for yourself, deal with the issues at hand and to try and find peace in your power to execute your plan to freedom! To quote the movie Gattaca "You want to know how I did it? This is how I did it, Anton: I never saved anything for the swim back!”

As the wife to a husband with a white collar crime, I can personally say how much this group of men at prison professors and white collar advice has helped my husband and I navigate this journey. They helped us prepare, guided us through the expectations, and made themselves available for any questions we had. Now, as my husband serves his time, white collar advice still remains a tool with the webinars they host on a weekly basis. I would recommend this group 100% as they have helped my husband tremendously and am confident they would meet and exceed your needs as well.

White Collar advice empowered me to advocate for myself. I was able to educate myself through their resources on Prisonprofessors.com and ask questions during their free weekly webinars. I was able to connect with Scott Laney and he was straight forward and cared about my situation because he knows from his own experience what I am going through. If your like me, your broke from Attorney fees and government fines. I needed to pick and choose what I could do for myself and what I needed help with from Scott and his team. With the help of white collar advice I was successfully able to become RDAP eligible and re-designated after my sentencing already took place. It wasn't easy. It involved a court order, letter from my rehab center and many phone calls and emails. I couldn't have done it without Scott's guidance. I surrender tomorrow and will keep you guys updated on my status. Thanks!

The team here has been extremely helpful. I have attended their webinars weekly, and learned a lot of how to better prepare. In addition, the team has helped provide me with information our team needed that were able to submit for a hearing and they worked together with my attorneys to help draft the needed brief. Also, they helped provide me with information on how to create a detailed release plan, and they helped me review my release plan so I could add needed information to it. With their help I was able to expand my release plan to include more relevant information that i hasn’t thought to be relevant. In addition, they gave me the opportunity to host a free online webinar workshop to teach others how to create their own release plan. I felt proud to be able to help others create a release plan, and I appreciated the time and opportunity they gave me to do so. I feel much more prepared and ready now that I have gotten involved with their team. I highly recommend them and their help. Without them, I would have been lost an unsure of what to do. Now, I feel prepared and understand well what to expect and to do and not to do.

I can't explain how grateful I am to have found Michael and the entire team. Though I found them after my sentencing, they have prepared me in ways I did not know beforehand. They truly know this area as they have been either in or affected by the system. I would have walked inside with only my hands in my pocket hadn't it been finding this team and knowing I can prepare for my release before I ever start my journey. No matter what stage you are in this journey, they can provide you with the information you need to overcome this challenge.
